Sad news today. After not being able to sleep because of paranoia, I have decided to temporarily take down my grow operation. After smoking some of my new hash I made last night, I was getting ready to go to bed, and noticed a white van parked across the street from my house with engine still on. Odd...since it was about 1:30 in the morning. I kept an eye on the van and found it circling around my neighborhood about 3 times before finally heading off not to be seen again after 3 am (though I was still up on the computer and checking the window).

Now I know us growers are always paranoid, but I have decided its just getting too much for me. I grow and smoke weed to relax myself, to take off the worries of the day, and to learn something new once in awhile. Recently too many people have been asking questions and it just puts me on edge.

So, sad to say, it will all come down. I have already cut what flowering girls I have (about a month in), and will make some hash out of them. I may take my vegging girls and plant them somewhere outside, even though it is too late for that really - i just dont want to kill them. I will keep all my supplies for when I find a safer place to continue my love for growing. Luckily I have all of you here, my home away from home, where I can keep up to date with everyone and share my knowledge. For all of you out there still growing, keep it up. In fact, give your girls an extra tablespoon of blackstrap molasses tonight just for me (or bud booster/what have you). I'm sure they will appreciate it.

sorry to see your grow come to an end. paranoia is definitely the worst part about this venture im sorry to see it get the best of you my friend. at least it wasn't all for nothing eh?

Ya know, if a white van tried that in my neighborhood he would have 2-3 of us local men out pounding on the doors if it sat there for more than about 10 min. Reality? I would (honestly) think it was crooks casing a house, and be looking to bust their asses along with a couple of my neighbors. We just don't tolerate that shit where I live, and a cop is usually 15 min away, or longer.

But I can also understand your situation...very different, and also you are not in a legal situation as I am. Still, I do think you have made a wise choice. Why stress yourself out when you are sure to know several locations to access MJ outside of your home...spendy, yes, but much less worrysome for you if you feel LEO seems to be keeping an eye out.

Ya got my respect man...it's a tough choice you made to give up your girls.

BTW: The MIGHTY have NOT Fallen! No...they are just waiting for a better time to grow!

Sorry to hear the news DieAbetic...but for what it's worth I think you made the right call...why chance it you can always grow again...and peace of mind is so valuable...I had similar incedent this very week....utility workers were working in the area and may have spied my single thai x skunk...she was about 7ft tall and sure to yeild about a pound of medium to high grade budz...I was counting on her to give me smoke for quite some time to come......i took her down and I have perhaps two oz of imature buds....but like you I am gonna take my losses and live to fight another day....happens to all of us one time or another I guess..way better than worrying or dealing with LEO

So sorry to here that Diabetic. I understand and that is why we fight for freeing our weed. May you feel better my friend, and get some rest now.

My wife got paranoid and I shut down, a while back. But, I reasoned with her, and all is well and back to normal, for my garden. It just sucks, that we can't reason with LEO.

I would guess so too as a surveillance van stays parked and they usually kill the engine to stay low - van circling around: other criminals without a search warrant.

But next time you see a white van circling around your block you should either call some of your neighbors or actually call the cops - just don't let em in your house
It is highly unusual that a surveillance van from LEO acts so suspicious, they rather park a few doors away across your place and sit there motionless for the next few days and all you see is shift change and maybe then a fresh van. But they won't sit there with running engine nor run around your block a couple times to make sure that you notice them - this is rather a pattern you will see if some non-state-paid criminals scout out a new area for a few B&E's in the coming days. So these guys are not the usual burglar that sees a chance, as an open window/unlocked door, but they work in teams. Basically they function like a military unit, a scout team that drives around, and usually two or more mobile burglar teams that get called in by the scouts. what is odd is that they showed up during night times, normally they act during normal business hours to reduce the risk that anybody is home and welcomes them with a shotgun nor a neighbor might be watching them.

I guess we can call this form of criminality a side effect of emancipation everyone is at work and no one watching the castle
