Highway Patrol busts marijuana operation in Blue Springs

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a possible marijuana-growing operation at a home in Blue Springs.
The patrol's narcotics division was alerted Tuesday to a possible growing operation in the basement of a house on Southwest Walnut Street at Southwest 22nd Street, according to Sgt. Dan Green.
Using a search warrant, investigators entered the home and said they seized 75 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $40,000 to $50,000.
Green said a couple in their 50s, longtime residents of the home, were home when they were served with the search warrant before 8 a.m. They were taking care of their 2-year-old grandson at the time, though Green could not say whether they had custody of the child. No arrests were made, Green said. Lab tests will be conducted, and information related to the investigation will be sent to the prosecutor's office before any charges are filed, he said.

My cousin is the Pastor of their Church. He told me they are pillars in the community, would do anything for their neighbors. They have lived in this town for over 30 years and are helping their daughter with daycare for her son. She has RA and he works for the school district. Just the kind of people we need to lock up!

Oh boy let's lock up all those peeps out there that dare flout the laws of their communities! Don't lock up the wife beaters or the unc that is a secret child molester but let's get all those grammies and grammpies that grow pot! Don't want them loose on society! No way!
