Default The "easy way" to jail...

Some people just never learn. How many times have we seen this same stuff...stealing power and start a fire..not too bright.

I would also be interested to know how they figure $1M for 200 plants? I figured that at 3 ounces per plant (600 ounces) X a very generous $400 oz. you still get only $240,000.

Folks may not all be accountants, but they know enough math to see that someone is full of it.

San Jose House Fire Leads Police To Million Dollar Discovery
POSTED: 11:16 pm PDT May 27, 2008
UPDATED: 9:50 am PDT May 28, 2008

SAN JOSE, Calif. --

Police stumbled upon hundreds of marijuana plants Tuesday inside an illegal growing operation, NBC11 reported.

What started out as a house fire in the 2300 block of Shade Tree Lane quickly turned into a drug investigation.

Firefighters saved most of the home, but inside they found about 200 marijuana plants worth an estimated $1 million, NBC11 reported.

Neighbors said the people who were living in the home moved in a few months ago and seemed nice enough. However, they only moved in with a couple of beds and had a lot of late-night visitors, neighbors said.

Firefighters said it appears that the people who lived in the house rigged an electrical bypass in the garage so that they would receive free electricity. Apparently the system overheated, which started the fire, firefighters said.

The alleged growers face felony cultivation charges.

wander if it was a grow op for a compassion center or someone tring to start there own
i think its funny they would of had to have 2500 oz's to equal a million at 400 an oz. but all they would of had to do is get around 13 oz's per plant so it could be done but very unlikely. wander what the actual yeild was and just how much power they were stilling

that we will never really know as the DA, or to which level this goes, goes by a little bid different measure then we would to start with - they weight the entire plant mass wet while we only weight the dried bud.

and to the stolen power it is the same game, if they can't prove somehow how long they been stealing power the DA is literally free to spin the gossip drum as evidence.
