It says under cultivation, that 100gs carries no jail time and only a small fine. Question is, if you're invaded, do they weigh the entire plant, or do they just estimate or weigh how much bud you have on the plant?

i've heard that they pull the plant from the medium and weigh it. y they prolly do it this way? Quickest for em i would think

AND wiegh it green...so be careful. Does not take much to break that. They also use clones or seedlings as well.

Funny how they estimate the street value of a plant thats still green. So basically your getting charged for the water in the plant, and the dirt thats still on the roots! that government didnt exist

AND in most instances you will hear in the news they estimate the VALUE at 1,000$ per plant, street value.......

How many times do we get that much off one plant???

here in aus they go by maximum plant potential.....i think about $1000, regardless of seedlings clones mothers, heck i wouldnt be supprised if they got ya for male plants lol

Kinda off subject but I was just wondering about something..... Round my neck of the woods when Johnny Law and his inbred sons have a bust, they always get thier pic taken with the plants. Although most of the heat comes out round budding time.... The pics in the paper never show a single bud anywhere.... I wonder where they went to???lol

the reason they weight it like that is because the cops love to bust you, ive heard of them weighing plants with the root ball completely intact, not even shaking the dirt off, ive also heard of them spraying water on the dry weed to make it weigh more.

This is a bit of a tangent off the original question, but I know of a state that counts each plant you're caught with, male or female, seedling or larger as able to produce 1 pound of bagged mj. In that state, over 4 pounds is a felony.

basically what they are doing is ensuring that you get the most out of they're bust. If they kick in the door and you don't have enough to make it a news story they will make it enough. There was a guy around here who was charged for his discarded peat plugs and they counted each one as a plant that had been grown and harvested. He had about a hundred of them. I know my plugs stay in the medium once I use them, so i'm not sure why he had so many but either way the guy got screwed cause he only had three small plants when he was busted

my buddy got charged with a small amount for having about 5 seeds and a few stems on the carpet in his car.
