The DEA monitors just about all US mail or UPS packages that
leaves any lighting & hydroponics stores. The senders address
is noted & the full name & address of who these catalogs and
equipment go to. "No warrant is even needed for the DEA to due
this". & Every month or 2 they taken all these "All the names and
address's" that they have collected. & burn all the information on
to CD -Roms. And then they are send them out to any local LEO's
or state drug units that's in the area that the packages were sent to.

Never Order Anything That Goes To Your "Real Address" Or" Real
Name" Or Any Medical Marijuana Grow Operation Site. No Seeds!
No Growing Equipment! No Supply's! Nothing Period! Just find
another address to send your equipment orders to, Other then your
"Grow Op's Real Location"

Please Don't let this scare you off, from buying your needed grow
supply's, That is NOT the intent here, The intent is to just teach any
sick patients what they need to do, In order to be "Safer In Their
Endeavors" Just find a good friend or someone else that doesn't
mind just a few Packages of "Strictly Equipment " showing up at
their address, & then just use their address to get your needed
supply's sent to when ordering something "From One Of The Many
Local Or Online Grow & Light Shops"

God made payphones for a reason. So just use another name
and address on any equipment orders from any lighting and
grow store anywhere. And that should more then keep you safe
from this type of surveillance from the DEA on the grow & lighting
equipment stores.

By learning "How The Drug Agencies Work!" You can then easily
learn how to "Get around their surveillance" of the grow shops both
online & local grow shops.

I always keep a couple of "Old Licence Plates" Not in my name, & just pull over right before I go into a "Grow Equipment store" & Change Plates
& So any LEO's watching the store, Wont get my "Real Plate Number"

Or you can always borrow a friends car for the day.

NEVER go straight from a "Grow Op Equipment Store" run & then go straight back to your "Illegal Grow Op Setup"

They will try to follow you!

Good idea to a point. You don't want to get caught with a fake tag. Make sure at the least that all the stickers are current. Even then, if the police tail you, they will probably look up your tag number.

Definitely don't park your car with fake tag near your grow site. Really the whole idea breaks my personal rule about only breaking one law at a time.

Caution is always a good idea.

I don't go as far as to change the plates on my truck... but I do some counter surveillance whenever I leave the hydro store. A good thing to do is pay attention. You need to be detail oriented because the DEA will often switch the cars they use to follow you during the surveillance, they use different types of cars and different ethnicities of the officers in them even. I will leave the grow store and drive to a strip mall, there is a store with a huge window store front there that I will go in and pretend to be looking at stuff in the window while scoping out the parking lot. After I leave that store I will go to my old address, where I still have friends staying, and take some big empty boxes out of the back of my truck and in the house. After that I will leave and go to another neighborhood I used to live in and drive around the same couple of blocks a few times to make sure nobody is looking. Finally, I will call the wife before I'm on my way home to make sure there are no unusual cars near the house and then I'll go home. If I ever had a feeling like I was being followed then I would drive to my mothers house about an hour and a half away from my house and spend the night, leave my stuff there cause I can park in the garage where you can't see me take anything out, then go home the next day. Never had to do that thank god, but I take it pretty serious cause the DEA busted a drug house about two blocks from me a while back and it scared the crap out of me. I don't ever use my cell to make "business" calls, have a throw away pre-paid for that. I also make a point to never be seen or known to associate with anyone that has a criminal history for drugs.

I may seem paranoid but the reality is this. If someone kicks in my door at three in the morning I'm not going to stop to ask who it is, someone is getting shot, then I will go to prison. So I make every effort possible to not draw attention.

The only thing I could ever get caught for is my computer. Its a mac and I know how to clean it out, but it takes forever. I have a nuclear overwrite program that overwrites anything I've ever erased 35 times so it can't be recovered. I know where all the cache files are for my internet, and the internet isn't in my name either. I have tried some proxy sites but have recently come to find that they don't protect you as much as you think. Another good thing for PC security is a huge marine magnet I keep about five feet away from it, someone comes knocking, it gets stuck to the back of my laptop, and bingo bango everything is screwed so bad you can't get it back.

I should not that I am a legal caregiver in the state I live in and can legally grow medical marijuana for my patients. I do all this cause, even though I am legal, I don't want some over eager douch bag wrecking my life over something they refuse to research or accept.

no doubt about that... that botanicare stuff is the first and last thing I'll ever have shipped, specially cause they sell it at my local shop. Another thing to avoid is being on mailing lists.

Is there any actual data to back up these claims? There are many people that order hydro supplies all the time. There was a big issue with the DEA and grow shops in the 80's but the backlash was severe. I wouln't put much past the DEA but I have never heard about anything like this.

I have never purchased any grow supplies so I don't have a worry about this but it does not seem correct to me. So basically the claim is there is a DEA agent for each of the thousands of grow shops in the US. They then sit at the post office and go through each package, document the address, add them to a database and then send them to local LEO's for further investigation but for some reason they need a warrant to use FLIR? In fact the only people that I know who have purchased hydro equipment dont grow pot.

I don't think its something that could get a warrant and get you searched... but probably more like just one more thing to pile on as "evidence" once they have you. Something to use as intimidation or to add more weight to the case... like a fluffer thing (take that however you want)lol

The logistics seem staggering though. There are a ton of hydro shops to monitor. The reports about "Operation Green Thumb" in another thread are disturbing though. The article claimed that the police had access to records from companies that advertise in mags like hightimes. You got to love those stores that knowingly endanger their customers to make a buck. I would 100% avoid any supplier that advertises in that mag, they know they have to give out names but dont give a damn!
