Where's the active bar that was at the top to see new active topics?

I dunno, the entire place looks like crap.
The bar is missing, the site dosent fit my screen automatically.
looks like some kid got to playing with the html coding.
The new logo is horrific too, it dosent match the site at all.

well i think it looks great and anyway at the end of the day its the same folks who are here? different strokes for different folks i guess!!
though i am missing the hot topic bar too!!

The shoutbox is currently disabled due to it slowing the site down.

The site is going to get a whole new look, the site actually matches the size of the top graphic instead of being all mismatched and completely out of scale.

oldman: I am sorry you aren't happy with the new changes, but I also know that you don't even have the slightest clue about how screwed up this site had gotten over the last few years.

btw: jangel is the one who picked out the graphic.. great job insulting the owner of the site

no doubt!

There was a reason why none of the other admins wanted to clean it up :O

i suppose that someone also didn't account for all the hours spent setting up the new server, installing all the security measures and all the testing involved making sure that it all works right, cleaning out all the rootkits and hacked accounts, fixing that mammoth amount of errors all over the website, updating the forum software and all the add on modules, performance tuning the database and webserver, etc.., etc..., etc..

Somedude, you shouldn't assume things, especially in this case.
I know better than anyone how the site use to be, and how it is today.
Its rather nice to view a page that automatically adjusts to my screen rather than your logo. People hate to use scroll bars in two directions.
I shouldn't of had to explain this to you, if you do the coding.

this site is currently set statically at 1024 pixels wide. If you adjust your display settings on your computer to 1024x768, it should fit just fine.

I also know that the template is a mess currently and I am working on it

Somedude has been working non stop on fixing up what was behind all the pretty pictures and nicely balanced pages. I have been doing what I could simply with members and I have no clue about code or anything else about this site. It is a huge job and quite frankly, I couldn't impose on anyone to ask them to willingly take it on. But somedude came to help us all, and as a site, to carry on with a better, cleaner site, and it will be all shinny and pretty, given time. The layout even was picked by the previous owner. It will indeed shine, given time.

But never ever forget, we are not about slick pages, and working tool bars. We are not about html code or pretty pictures. GreenPassion is about people helping each other and going on a journey with friends. To help legalize something we all agree only helps us get better and be better than we are without it. And in order to do this as a site, it takes a lot of man hours behind the scenes people aren't even aware of. Especially with all we are working for. We are sharing freely Knowledge and Paying it all forward to help someone else. This is what we do here, so please do forgive our disrepair. It is temporary, and believe me, we are doing all we can. But also thank SomeDude for all his FREE hard work, that we couldn't really take advantage of if it was any other way. Just like all our other staff, we all do it for free and we are people too. Doing what we believe will help others.

...so pardon the mess, but I am sure you will see past that...to the heart of

Our GreenPassion.

you all seem to have your panties in an uproar.
I did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings.
I stand by what I said though, re-adjusting my screen resolution is not a good reply.
I run my monitor at the opposite of what you recommend, meaning its at: 1024x768
The page should adjust automatically to the viewers resolution.
(it always has in the past)

I do apologize if I came into the middle of something.
I had no idea you were re-doing things, I just saw what I saw, and it wasn't looking good at that point. Easy as that.
If I was aware you were in the middle of working on the site, that would have been different, or if someone would have been nice enough to point that out to me, in either case I know now. Good luck with it.
