Howdy everyone! I'm not sure if everyone understands the reputation system, or not. So I thought I'd explain it in some detail for you.

User Reputation system

What reputation level shall new users receive upon registration 10

For every X number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 365

For every X number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 250

For every X points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. 100

How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? 10

How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? 10

How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? 15

That means for every year, you earn one point, and another point for every 250 posts.

lumberjack it really doesn't matter one way or the other ( or in the South we refer it as doesn't matter to a hill of beans to me. ) lol

but if I had to decide I would keep the current system simply because "thanks to me is thanks for that post" then "Reputation to me is a reward to somebody for something I have learned that impressed me in the knowledge of the below seal which is the main purpose of the site when it really gets down to it.." - lol - damnnnn (does that make sense)

OK, so call me a stoned idiot (which I ain't at the moment...LOL) but WHERE do we see our "Reputation"? and how do we give someone added "Reputation"?

I'll take a stab at this one.
On each post, on every post, we see a number, like #15, then an icon of some scales, in the dark bar that divides the posts.
Click on those scales, to give REP. Go to your Control Panel and scroll to the bottom to see your recent REP and who gave it to you.
I just tried to give you some REP now but it says I jsut gave you some the other day.
If you see it, New REP, the polite thing to do is give it back to the giver.
