I asked Video what his thoughts were on may be adding a nutrient section here. He said may be. What do you guys think. I think it would be great to have one because there are so many to choose from. Also, may be we can have contest supported by companies to see who has healthy plants with great yields. What are ya'll thoughts on this? Also, there is always something new coming out here and there. It would be nice to know what is new and good.

i do not know what vid feels but I feel that fertalizers/nutes tends to be a pretty uneccesarily pricy part of many grows...plenty of ferts/nutes are great...but overpriced and marketed as if they are some "special blend"...I think plenty of very good growers just go with some inexpensive nutes..however some swear by one special brand or product....I would not want to encourage the new grower to buy into what I think is a bit of a rip-off. Let these companies offer some independent testing before we buy the next superdoubletripple monster potent bud formula.

I'm using technoflora reciepe of success. I like it alot so far. I came with everything! cheap too. Before I was using Earth Juice and my plants were so slow. Ever since I changed over to technoflora they seem to be growing quicker and look much better. I also started to spray plants with dutch master penetrator and reverse. I heard great things about the penetrator and reverse. I have no males or hermies.

i was using canna nutes{£15} but changed to using duch master gold {£30} nutes on my last grow along with superthrive, there was no real difference in the yield or quality....a fellow grower doing the same plants used tomato food {£2} and liquid seaweed {£3} our results were almost identical

I used to use Fox Farms nutes. It was too easy to overdo it. I always had at least some nute burn. Now, since I have been "organic", I use only blood meal and bone meal. I quit using superthrive, too. I haven't seen any difference in anything, except I don't get any nute burn. I do have some nute burn, when I put the cuttings into plastic cups, for the first couple of weeks. I have added the organic nutrients to the soil mix and use that throughout the grow, so it is somewhat "hot" for the small plants. But, they as long as they are well rooted, they can take it. By the next transplant, into 3 gallon bags, they are just fine.

imo, a nute section wouldn't be up to what we may think it could be.
Growers have different circumstances in which a certain nute may work in one environmental situation, but perform poorly in another; i.e. using soluable nutes can change ph, so it may work for hydro but throw off soil. I believe it would actually be better to follow a grow journal from start to finish detailing temps, pot size, strain, nutes, etc...
This could also be a thread where anyone person can come up and say i use this product X, it gives bigger yields yada yada yada...and not do crap--LED ring a bell? Although it is an excellent idea, there are a lot of random info i can see being put up which would undermine the threads effectiveness.
