Rep Power: 500 | | Green Passion Member Selection of New Mod~All contribute please!
Hello Green Passion members.
With the fine new addition to Moderation of Meigs_OH_raised we are still short a mod.
Unfortuanatly, life has pulled a couple of our finest mods away from us.
We do hope and pray they can someday find their way back to us, but for now, we will miss them terribly.
Our beloved Scott06 and ISO2BWELL have other commitments for now, that they need to attend to. We only wish them well with their ventures and wish them both all the success in the world. They both are still members, so hopefully they will be around at times, and are not gone from us. So we are short their wonderful contributions and input. I am sure many of you have noticed this absence.
With this loss for GP we need another new mod. We, the mods, have chosen Meigs for one, but we really wish all of you to contribute in the selection of the second mod. GP is so much a sum of all it's fine members, we feel it is only right you have input in this decision.
So come on Green Passion, think of who you would like to have in this position. And add your suggestion here. We need to here everyone of your voices for this.
This person must have several qualities, to benefit and add to our fine forum.
Here are a few that you should consider:
* Good research abilities: We have to find answers for all of you even if we don't know.
* Patiants and Diplomacy: We deal with all types....you know!
* Helpful to the nth degree: It is what we do.
* A self starter: Has to be able to come up with helpful tutorials.
Again, it is what we do.
******A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR!*******....ya gotta have one!
These are just a few things, I know there are many many more. Add to this if you like. OKAY FOLKS! ....we will see how this goes....hopefully we will have a person picked in the next couple of weeks if not sooner. ONE OTHER THING: Moderation has the final say, and veto power, just to keep it under control. I am sure you can understand this... Love ya all, and cannot wait to see how this goes! :pa rty time: Peace! | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to jangel For This Useful Post: | |

I have probably not been around long enough, and definitely not often enough to give a specific suggestion - other than some who are ALREADY mods. In my experience here, the existing mods have such a high level of knowledge and discretion, that I'd defer to them on selection. So, if anyone has specific candidates, let someone (mod) know, even if it isn't publicly in a thread.

I know I have been absent in my usual postings the past few weeks because of school, but if GP needs help I am more than willing. I cannot promise everyday participation as many of our great Mods give us, but I can promise my insight both as someone who works in a nursery and who grows and enjoys our lovely herb. I have a very busy schedule, but I read GP almost every day, and would like to think I've been around here long enough to know many of the people and the information. If someone can commit more time and info than me, please select them - for the better of all of us. But if you need me, I'm always here to help and contribute more to this great site.
Keep the Piece-Full,
DieAbetic

I am new, and wouldn't know who to suggest. however if needed I can make myself available for such a task.
I have other site references to prove I am not LEO. And have all the traits and skills recommended for this type of job.

If I had a vote and He had the time, His knowledge would benefit all here on GP. Just reading his posts, and feeling the kindness and compassion in his words, my vote would go to Ileso. Please consider him for this possition, I believe you won't regret adding him to the staff.

Rep Power: 99 | | Come on ppl, step up to the plate,it aint like marriage, just commit!
ye well you gotta pay the bills first ....i digress...
Remember folks a mod is for life not just for christmas ,lol,iv been a mod at growkind.com for 2 years now and we have had many good times nd then sad times when we have had to ban members for flaming,we have a zero tolerance policy regarding flaming,we give them 3 strikes of warnings then they outta there basically...
I know i aint been around long enough on THIS site to qualify but im happy to roll my sleeves up and muck in to keep the site troll free and running smoothly cos contrary to popular belief...being a mod aint all its mde out to be,sure you get free drugs and girls...ehm hold on sorry folks i was getting my moderating mixed up with pimping there:-D
Seriously though, being a mod takes dedication, you gotta commit and above all with power comes responsibility, you cant be seen to take sides in arguments, all you can do is try restrain the ppl who are fighting and try pour water on any flames, apart from that keep out the underagers and remember a mod is NOT a superior to a member, sure they have the power in a vote along with other mods to vote out a member for valid reasons (never forpersonal reasons) but a mods foremost duty and allegiance is to the forum and above all to serve her members, whoever gets picked would do well to remember that...
Also, just my 2C jangel but look for a different quality in each/every mod, thats what herb did at GK and we got a good balance of age ,wisdom,experince,etc....just ask snick hesone of us,lol!!!
If no suitable candidates were 'tapped'(just like in skull and bones, lol) then id be willing to help,it would be an honour considering it was only a few months ago i nearly bought this whole site if it werent for some deatails being with held from me that became a serious deal breaker, anywys thats history, jangel id behappy to serve GP and her members along with you and johnny, etc anytime.... if you want a reference just ask snick or any of the mods at growkind, lol! Peace
PS: You do offer a salary right????

Thank you Apprentice! I appreciate that very much. We will let everyone know by the end of the week. This has been pretty busy around here and we are trying to do a couple things this week to be secure.
All is well.

lady need help? count on me,
just so everyone knows,
i hate power, i hate holding power, i hate enforcing power.
yet i am a tyrant and a dictator, i am a communist and an anarchist, an emperor and a king, a serf and a farmer...
i also believe in free will and the evolution of the human race as a species. i also believe mankind has no need to be governed, but the earth yes, the earth needs to be governed and SUSTAINED. other than that every man is born equal inso far as we were given enough grey matter to not need to be governed.
who governed us when we were just eyeless single celled organisms strugling in a fiendish eat the other guy or die world? NO-ONE, and yet here we are. we got this far without being ruled by laws other than those dictated by nature.
we eat we shit we reproduce, thats us in a nutshell, thats all life is. make the most of it and dont bow your heads to no-one.
stand up straight and be a proud race...
(sry for the ramblings... the walls are still breathing and visions still pop into my eyeballs...ill post this somewhere else)
