dont know how to really suggest this , but i thought it would be rather cool , if GP had live chat room where people can talk on mic or type in chat room , like a hangout zone really , on paltalk its free and its easy to use ..or is that a bad idea ?

We had a chat room for a while, but, I don't think it got used much.

There is the shoutbox, though. I wish the shoutbox would be on all forum pages. We could chat through there, and, would know when a post is made.

Or, a chat box in a seperate window (smaller) which would stay on top of other windows.

Just a thought.

If you look at the home page, we have a chat box. Called shoutbox. I will talk to the dude about it. I think we already have this...just have to figure out where it is, or how to do it.

Yes, we have a shoutbox. But, it is only on the home page. It would be nice if we could chat, while in a forum, without going back to the main.

i use paltalk qiute abit , and its pretty cool can all type in a room or talk on mic ,play music ,chat about the 'chit' in the world , all diffrent kind of things , but i can see what you mean about it not being used that much , as to everything everyone needs is on the site , so yeh i think shoutbox thingy would be cool .

I know the name that cannot be said had a chat system he paid for. I don't think it was used much at all so it was turned off.

tried tested and failed by the sounds of it , least it was a cool idea why it lasted lol .

The shoutbox is in the pull-down menu under "GP Forum Menu".

The old chatroom still required one to stay in the chatroom. It didn't follow you around the forums. I think that's why it wasn't used much.

WOW! Okay folks....we now have chat!

The Dude has added it to the GreenPassion Toolbar so if it is not showing up yet, go to the drop down menu under the GreenPassion name (See the little triangle? Click that) and refresh your toolbar, then you will see GP chat. The Dude sent an email saying there where new features on the tool bar. That is one!

This man amazes me! Just mention something and BAMM !! he does it!

i have a question.....being computer illiterate can i ask...if i download the toolbar does it only show when i'm on this site or is it there all the time?
just wondered cos my kids use our computer and i don't want it to show when they are on it?

BUT I REALLY REALLY WANT TO CHAT TOO!!!!!

I believe it is shown all the time,, not sure if there is a button to hide it,, will check for you,, I love it,, we need you on chat

You can do what I do and have my computor in two sections, one is marked user the other is marked guest or you can call it kids. Have it so that they can just click the Kids icon and get onto the comp, but not onto your part of the comp. then it is all seperate. You just have to have a password to sign onto your part of the computor. I don't want the kids that occasionally come here seeing all my business but they can still use the computor so it is all good. No password for the guest part and mine is protected.

I really don't mind sweetie. Okay, I will post it here for others as well:

This is for Windows XP, but it is similiar I beleive for most systems.

Go to Control Panel;

Then go to User Accounts, double click it, and it will open up.

Then it says Pick a Task

You want to Create a New User Account;

Then Pick a name for the account...do your own first, and it will ask you for a password, then do all they ask.

Then do it again for the kids and do not add a password, then they can just open it up and it will work for them.

If you have other probs with it, let me know.
