Okay Folks! Help us get better! With moving to the new server some things are not working. Everything is evolving so we are a work in progress. Until the site was up and populated, we did not have a way to know the speed, or what was not working. If you find things not functioning please please PLEASE let us know. Give us a hand and post the problems here so we can get it all working well. We will need this info to find the fault: Time zone you are in. Date and time it happened. What the error code was. What you where trying to do. Anyother info you can supply us with. This way the Dude has a hope in hell of figuring out what the problem is and fix it. Thanks folks!

Sabasi I think the contest is okay as far as entries go we know what they were as of last night so I believe we are waiting for some judges to weigh in is all. If you can re post for your own journal that will help. Thanks.

I've noticed general slowness loading the site since the migration to the new host.

I still have some performance tuning to do that i was unable to do until we went live on the new server. It seems (to me at least) that when you are not logged in, the site loads pretty dam fast, but when you log in that's when things slow down. This isn't really a "small" project either.. The whole site is a complete disaster and its going to take some time to get it all worked out Thanks for the report.

yeah... seems better. Have you ever used the liveHTTPHeaders plugin for firefox? It is pretty handy for looking at the header requests to and from the browser and server. May help in future troubleshooting on what is running slow on page/site load. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3829

I went back in to re-read and re-post thanks on The Knowledge Project-4 as my thanks had disappeared,some thanks came up,others didn't.I am in UK so time zone would be GMT,Time was 10.45pm on September 1st Also,every time I've signed in today,the site's been faster than the time before.Cheers Dude,Tumnus  smilies are getting faster too!  |

It works better than ever here.Smile list still takes way to long.No smiles unless you really got it coming  .The pic in thread pages,Whats going on with them?Some photos you have to shut down with the red x and some you have hit the back button.None have the option to look at all the photos from just placing the curser over one like it was.Is that feature gone?
