Hey Folks! Looks like we have a lot to be Thankful for.

We have had an outpouring of support from other sites, and mods, admins from those sites. From Cannacare and Growkind respectively.

But we have our own hard working Techie here that has been working non-stop on revamping our site behind the scenes.

Everyone give a round of thanks to our own SnickelFritz.
He might not be commenting on threads but man oh man, he has been working hard!

He has added all the new smilies to our forum, and resized the screen to make it more comfortable for our members. Also he has revamped the member status scale, and got rid of those irritating pics you folks hated.

Also he has cleaned up all old accounts from our member list, which left us open to possible attack. All gone now.

Also, members, we have been inundated with some types of new members we do not want, nasty things, but we got rid of them all, with all the mods helping. Not fun at all. A trial by fire for our newest mods but we won!.... with snicks help! :beatdown:

....and thanks to all of us, our members probably never even knew there was a problem. That is what I call a DREAM team!

What a Mod Squad aiy? I am very proud of all of you.

The list goes on and on, he has been working sooooo hard.

So everyone say a Thanks to him. He truely is our Hero.

Thanks Snick. We appreciate all you have done so very much....just wish we could pay you better, Buddy! LOL!

Where I'm at its 26 degrees with sleet, sooooo...
Right now, I actually have some free time to get some work done, so I'm trying to do a lot in a short time. Before I get hit with another ton of "honey-do's" LOL.

And, yes WB. The more that gets done, the easier things will be to manage, and the better things will be for everyone here.

Just so everyone knows, over 3,000 user accounts were deleted since yesterday evening. Those accounts were made, but never used. All of them had ZERO posts and were at least 60 days old. Most of them had been dormant since they were created in 2007. It was time to get rid of some dead weight and free up resources for our active members.

Snickelfritz.....where to begin??? 1st of all regarding the new and improved smilies,lol,Snick by his own admission is a "smilie whore",lol,on growkind he even has his own secret little garden/image gallery just FULL of smilies of all sorts,old ones,new ones,ones for the future,you name it and hes got them,lol! So thats his "PLEASUUUURE" regarding smilies,lol!

@ Growkind we have 2 administrators and 6 moderators(2 of whom are kinda on annual leave,lol) but in reality Snick is more of a GK admin than a GK mod cos when theres trouble with any tech probs in the vB adminCP,etc then Snick knows how to work it all better than even Herbsparky on some levels and sometimes webmaster aswell,lol,hes a vB genius

BULLDOG!!!! Thats what our 'mod squad' call snick, i dont know how the name originated or from whom but i do know its deserved cos hes like one of them sniffer dogs,lol,if he sees or suspects ANYTHING slightly amiss or dodgy going on then his spidey senses start tingling and hes right on the case,hes found more banned members trying to sneak back into GK than prolly the rest of us mods put together and that says summit cos we do catch a LOT of ex members trying to return under new guises.So GP couldnt be in safer hands ,truly.HE IS THEE BULLDOG,BOW DOWN TO HIS SHARP TEETH,LOL!

Jangel,im glad you now feel GP has its OWN dream team mod squad cos thats the first thing a forum needs to sort as you know more than me.Its a bit weird though,lol,to read snicks part of your dream team and at GK hes one of our 'big hitters' on our dream team,we need to work out some kind of 'mod custody' contract,rofl! We get him mon,wed,fri and we all share him on a sunday and you guys get him Tue,Thur,Sat and share with us on sunday?LOL...JUST KIDDING,like i said yesterday in a post on GP,if snick didnt have the time or the enthusiasm for it he simply wouldnt do it and hes been working here at GP behind the scenes now since WELL before Vid came to a deal with J & J and another thing,even though Snick will admit to you that GK is his original MJ forum HOME,he will work his ass of just as hard if not harder for GP during this transition period and beyond and IMO he also deserves a bit of respect for keeping schtum cos although hes tight with us/his fellow mods,he has NEVER mentioned GP busines or talked out of school as we say in the UK about GP,what he does on GP he keeps on GP and doesnt run back telling us any stuff y'all talk about in the admin lounge and thats one of his qualities>>>>DISCRETION,he aint one to blab to others,in fact the only time hes EVER mentioned GP was to say in the admin forum @GK how cool all the vB add-ons you guys have at your disposal ,see snick LOVES vB and all that it offers,hes always mentioning to webby new upgrades he thinks GK could do with

... and i gotta say that he might not post much but thats just cos hes like a kid in a sweet shop or a toker in an amsterdam cafe when it comes to fiddling,tinkering and playing around with the vB and adminCP,lol,and he REALLY knows his shit when it comes to all that stuff .Snick checks out every guest and new member thoroughly and in many cases snicks saved GK from lots of trouble from persistant trolls (so if you got a troll problem here snick will kill it dead,proxies or no proxies,hes good like that!)

I just wanna say that the work he does behind the scenes,although all the members are thankful,will NEVER truly be appreciated cos a LOT of what he does aint visible to the norml member,its all stuff he does in the adminCP and he will shore the defences and make sure GP is as safe as fort knox i promise y'all of that!

THATS WHY HE IS THEE BULLDOG! Cos he smells security breaches a mile away.As a fellow friend and mod with him all i can say is that theres tech guys at certain sites that get paid cash for doing shit that snick does in a day for free and probably does it better too! As long as snick is around the site will constantly be improving...Peace

If snick manages to do half the stuff @GP thats hes done @GK then the sites just gonna get better and better but snicks the FIRST to admit he aint a one man band...HES A TEAM PLAYER,TRUSTWORTHY TO THE MAX and ONCE HE STARTS A PROJECT/UPGRADE then he dont stop till its done,lol,the point im making is though,snick CAN work wonders on a vB forum thats almost identical to GROWKINDS,he would be embarressed to read this post cos he aint one for taking all the credit or hogging the limelight,he just does what needs doing and plays a TEAM game,he aint the KIND of guy that needs his ego stroked,half of you all will prolly NEVER get to see 80% of what he is doing behind the scenes but its usually along the lines of security issues hence the bulldog and other admin issues which differ hugely from being a moderator,a lot more work for a lot less pay,lol!

Growkind owes its very survival to Snick,>>>a long time ago some 'renegade' members/mods in webby and herbs absence decided that they were gonna mutiny the GK ship while the captain and the admiral were on dry land,but he patiently waited until the plan was in full throttle and just as the renegade mods(all banned now of course) were about to seize the GK ship and LOCK out Herb/Webby in stepped snick to alert ADMIN of what was about to go down and if he hadnt did what he did when he did then growkind would no longer be with us anymore so i tip my hat and salute him for that cos believe me hes taken a LOT of heat and been flamed on from the mutineers who reside elsewhere now,they tried to make his name mud but ppl who know the rel story know snick SAVED GK and did the honest and right thing,what can i say hes a loyal guy to growkind and im 100% sure greenpassion will get that same loyalty and dedication as hes given and still gives our mod squad and forum at GK.

Give Snick the power and along with a decent mod squad he will bring balance to the force /BTW i aint being byest and riding on snicks **** but purely cos of what i KNOW abut snick and cos of what iv SEEN him do im just trying to give y'all a tiny bit of insight into just what snick brings to the table,hes a team player who loves messing around with smilies and vB upgrades and im sure that if his fellow mods agree he will start coming up with his tried and tested methods that have served him and growkind so wel from past till present,in fact he told me he wished that we at GK had a lot of the vB upgrades you guys have got cos they are security ones and other cool things that i cant discuss cos they are greenpassion.org and growkind.com secrets

Seriously though a round of appaluase for a guy who does soooo much that goes un noticed behind the scenes and kudos to jangel for bringing his dedication and hard work to all your attention,the mods here will kow what i mean,being a moderator is a THANKLESS task at times,ppl can hate on you for simply being a mod or ppl think cos your a mod that somehow that equates to meaning your a better grower or a better forum member which aint true,you assembel your mod squd IMHO on a vriety of things,it aint about picking yer mates,thats actually a bad thing to do cos it can cause conflict,its about imo PICKING THE BEST PPL FOR THE JOB,A RANGE OF PPL EACH WITH THEIR OWN SPECIALALITIES,thats what GK has and so to it seems GP,as for snick his specialtiy?HES AN ALL ROUNDER,he knows a bit of everything and i for one am glad to know we have snick here at greenpassion cos his 'spidey senses' as we call them are 99% right,he spots banned or bad members a mile away and above all>>>>>Hes just a decent friggin stand up guy,GP is lucky as are GK to have a long serving mod/admin guy like snick,he belives in karma ,so do i so snick heres some well earned 'green karma' coming your wayPeace GP-ers..... wow that was a LONG one by GP standards,lol...INHLE....EXHALE....Ahh thats better!

LOL...aye its always been a running joke/theme over at GK about me beiong the king of the long post guys,theres been a few contenders but they go inactive and i still have the belt,lol...seriously though im BARRED from posting novels in the admin lounge,lol,i thinkim on my last warning!Just kidding....about the warning...im not supposed to post mini novels tho,lol,it hurts the guys eyes cos we read so many threads,lol...

I found out most ppl only read the 1st 6 paragraphs so im gonna start at GP trying to limit themn to 5 for y'all,lol.It aint my fault honest, i went to college doing computing and even though i only use 3 sometimes 4 fingers i type almost faster than im thinking even tho thqat dont make sense,lol!On myspace or somewhere similar on opne of them app invites from my sister i scored 37 then 39 then 44 words per minute so its very easy for me to just thik something and without even looking at the keyboard(hence the few type errors,i dont look at the keyws,i just think stoned and type whatever comes out unles its a constructed post like my 'security 101' thread or the MJ library thread in advanced....DAMN THERE I GO AGAIN!1

Anyway i just wanted all the members to really know in depth what you mods already know or are tarting to know and thats that snick is a total stand up guy,a team player and loyal through and through and as a member of GP thats all i want,iv did my background check on the rest of the mods aswell,lol,doing my sherlock hlmes and i can see you guys have a really good amount of mods for cove an the ones you have are all chosen for their diffeent skills as at GK and for their knoledge or their personality/charm or for the time served as a member mixed with many contributions and reputations...botom line3 what jangel sys is true,your lucky to have a guy like snick behind the scenes,hes like the guy at nasa who is conducting the mission to the moon and helping pilot the rocket back to earth on his computer but the astronaughts wh get out the rocket are the heroes,lol,snicks jsut not a glory seeker thats all,he does what he does and enjoys doing it,he dont seek thanks although im sure hes grateful for the support y'all have given him and thats all i wanted to convey and iv did it in ONLY 3 (granted LONG) paragraphs,lol,im improving for y'all i swear,lol!Peace
