Category: News and Politics
Detroit, MI: Two out of three Michigan voters support a statewide ballot initiative that seeks to legalize the medical use of cannabis for qualified patients, according to a Detroit Free Press/Local 4 news poll of 602 likely voters Sixty-six percent of respondents said that they would vote "yes" on the November ballot measure (Proposition 1). Twenty-five percent opposed the proposal. Nine percent were undecided.
Since 2004, five Michigan cities - Ann Arbor, Detroit, Ferndale, Flint, and Traverse City - have each enacted municipal initiatives endorsing the medical use of marijuana.
