If John McCain is NOT a natural born citizen...

wouldn't this totally disqualify him from the election process?! surely it would as you can only participate as naturally born citizen within territory of US - as far as i'm correct on this rule.

He was born in Panama to American parents. Right not American born.

so technically he can't really run has he is not born on US soil - and as far as i get the it you have to be on US soil to be president. the citizenship of your parents makes you also a US citizen but with limited rights as you not born on home soil.

Or am i wrong?

One queston.Was his parents in the army forces there on a military base.Or in the peace crops or many usa groverment job that they were place at.If not we need to get this out to the poeple.To answer your queston if he's not born here he can not run for presdent.Ask Jerry Springer he's cancanda.Now what about florida sentor Mel Martinez ? He's a cuban,came here from cuba on a raft at the age of 15.If they get to your shores from cuba they can stay here.How can he be a sentor.If this is true he needs to be told to step out of the race now. PEACE

well in my limited understanding everyone with citizenship should be allowed to take a public office, but for the highest public office you have to be a natural born citizen.
And a military base is still on foreign soil, most of the time these places are rented out for 99 years to the US gov. If is born in an embassy this is a other story as an embassy in under international laws an extension of home soil, but it would still be highly debatable as embassies aren't protected spaces under the constitution.

So if he is born on a base or not isn't from any interest as long it wasn't an embassy it doesn't count at all and if it is still more then touchy!

he is born on some navel base in the panama zone - so not really US territory, at best illegal occupied under the constitution.
