To: U.S. Congress It is a fact that nearly 11 million Americans use marijuana on a daily basis and that some 80 million or so have tried it. There are studies that have shown that marijuana isn't as harmful as tobacco or alcohol. Unlike tobacco and alcohol, no one has ever died from smoking marijuana. In fact more and more people are turning to marijuana to relieve symptoms of cancer and other medical problems. It's time government starts listening to the people. This country is based on having the freedom to voice our opinion and it be heard. Our own President has admitted to smoking marijuana. It's time to at least decriminalize marijuana. Make it legal to grow x amount of marijuana plants and legal to possess x amount. If you would like to see mariuana at least decriminalized please sign this petition and show your support. The time is now 4:20!

Believe me...I know this battle.

It is a battle we are currently unable to win, but due to the truth and facts of the matter we inevitably will..

I'm involved in that battle, every day, and believe me the road to even Federal acceptance of MMJ is full of deep potholes along the way.., and in most all cases you have to change a law before you can change the law that needs changing...(hope that makes sense.)

Right now here in WA. an organization I am associated with has filed a lawsuit against the Gov. and a number of state employees to force a re-classification of MJ from a Schedule I to a schedule II. It is a lawsuit I believe they can very well win, and thanks to a friend of mine it has been filed and served on the State. Seeing that happen was a moment I will not forget..

I would put a smiley face on it, but anytime a court is involved it's always a crapshoot...

Yep, that is what any of you that can, need to do. Get involved somewhere...even if it is just surfing the web and responding to articles in various newspapers that allow a "Comments" section. I can tell you from experience in marketing that, in general, a well thought out reply can really change the way people think.

ALL you are trying to do is just reach ONE of them, and that one will talk to others. No one is trying to get anyone to use cannabis, just understand that the growing number of Americans who choose to do so are getting tired of hearing what everyone knows are the same old lies. We would only like the freedoms we are guaranteed by our rights.
