So Ive heard about it in the news and didn't care much because like many people think "It doesn't affect me"

well i went into my local head shop today to buy some strawberry flavored papers....but lo and behold..

ILLEGAL!!!

so in an effort to curb underage smoking and to stop companies from getting children hooked it is now illegal to sell flavored cigarettes and apparently rolling papers

but how lame is that crap...the alternative is those flavored drops....i love how bassackwards some of the laws in this country are.

we don't want our kids smoking flavored cigars/cigarettes but we don't give 2 ****s that they are hopped up on speed to make them pay attention....and now i cant buy flavored rolling papers but i can get zombied out on xanax if i tell my doc i get nervous sometimes...

dammit!!!

i know my analogies dont really make sense...but neither do laws like this BS.

you just know down the road somewhere, someone is gunna find a loophole and get away with these things somehow.

dont they still sell the CANDY cigarettes...or the gum kind that look smokey if you blow in them... LAME

at least the headshop guy was cool and gave me some of his stash for free...cherry and mango.

Wow! I'm gonna be bumming if they get rid of menthols! I can kinda see the point of the article but you can never give people something and then take it away like they did during the Prohibition! It doesn't work! And if they lower the nicotine in them, won't like the whole world be getting crabby all at once from withdrawl? Scary stuff!!!! I tried those drops once and the flovor made me wanna gag! I'll take mine without it thanks!!

hahaha BAN menthol???? no way. menthol is EXEMPT which makes the legislation even more embittering. since a majority of "urban" smokers smoke menthols they are not illegal. "aint that some ****"

but cherry swishers are supposed to be banned...flavored papers....grape dutchies...

but yeah...apparently went into effect couple weeks ago and im a lil bitter...whats odd tho is that 2 head shops ive been in recently dont have flavored papers...BUT they still have flavored TOBACCO!!!

I just read the FDA ban related to this and I don't think it effects the sale of wraps or flavored papers, just products that are sold as smokable tobacco with flavoring added. I also googled some sellers of wraps and flavored papers and they posted on the site that the papers and wraps can't be used for tobacco anymore because of the FDA ban and must only be used for other herbs commonly smoked...lol (no mention of marijuana but I think we get it)

WTF!?! I wish the government would step back and stop over regulating things they should have no control over. Flavored or not, kids are gonna smoke if they want to. I started when I was a kid and they didn't have all the different flavors then. Did they ever stop to think that telling people not do something makes them want to do it even more?
