I understand, I'm a parent as well. I think that perhaps I was too vague with that statement. If every parent was teaching values and morals then there would be no kids to have the idea of the state raising the kids... does that make sense? Parents are absent more now then they were before I think, especially mothers because of the need to work. I am no god, by any stretch of the imagination, but my kids know that if they are found to be doing something outside the moral scope of my family, then there will be consequences for that action. I am determined to have two young boys grow into two fine upstanding men. I give them as much instruction, attention, and discipline as I think they need to succeed. I know they have friends that try and make them do things that are bad, everyone has those friends.

I know that, having said this, I will probably put a hex on the whole thing for myself now, but that is Murphys' law I suppose. In the end, I know my kids understand that if they want something, they have to work for it. Nothing should be handed to them for doing nothing.

Seems things are in motion.

good old tides foundation... one of they're chair people I believe is one of the same people who founded to weather underground... you know, they tried to blow up the pentagon back in the day.

What's really sad is that things have been in motion for a long long time, just way more subtle up til now. I just saw something on tv a couple months ago that said that christopher columbus would have been charged as a war criminal if he was alive today, and I think they made that some reference about Thomas Jefferson...

I believe strongly in the constitution as a standing declaration of the basis of this country and its freedoms... and any attempt to claim that it is a "living" document subject to change is, I believe, an attempt at tyranny and traitorous. I tell you, buy your guns and ammo now before they get so expensive you can't possibly afford them... its coming. I actually finally read the second amendment and now realize that it was put in place more so for the people to protect themselves against oppressive government, and not just to have the right to have guns. I've said it before and I'll say it again, these are scary times in the history of the USA and the world.
