Codex Alimentarius goes into effect in the U.S. on December 31st, 2009. Their goal is to outlaw all nutrients and vitamins for the common man and woman. Like garlic, too bad, under Codex it will be considered a drug.

It's a "Gaia" version of the ten commandments. The most sinister commandment calls for over a 90% reduction of the world's population to a "manageable" 500,000,000. Are you slated for termination?

You really think GNC will stop selling 250mg niacin? Red Yeast Rice? My goodness, my whole family uses those two to manage our lipid panel. I just can't see how this can be pulled off.

Eventually they will get their agenda through. The only thing that stands in their way is us and we haven't exactly been "up in arms" about the present eradication of our American way of life. I suspect that Codex will reach it's full force in the third world before it hits our country. Europeans are already experiencing the Codex agenda and cannot get some of the most common vitamins and nutrients available to us here.

Their agenda only gets stronger by the day. Just take a look what their whipping boy Obama has already accomplished and he's only been in office for about a year!

good lord... the web just keeps getting stickier and more complicated. There is so much stuff threatening the freedoms in this country how can I possibly keep up. I don't even know where to start anymore, but I know where I will finish.

I know exactly how you feel operator1...its overwhelming out here on the net sometimes. But I'm glad its here and I'm reading these ludicrous articles, thus arming myself with a little knowledge. And hope some of these things do not come true...

I have been managing a health food store for the past 7 years. We had petitions against this quite a few years ago. I have heard that they are "supposed" to take over in December, but as a person who has an inventory of 1000s of supplements, I haven't heard a peep from the government or anyone else saying we won't be able to sell them after next month.

I also heard that the EU was already dealing with this, but haven't seen any concrete evidence.

Not a fan of Codex, myself.

Robot has a point but I think what we need to consider is the government using that option whenever they need to. Real ID went into affect about two years ago. Even though it hasn't been used it is on the books. The Patriot Act has been around for years now and it is being used. We think we have rights in this country but anytime the government wants it can use these laws and make life miserable for us.

The constitution is being eviscerated before our very eyes. Between Obama and Bush we won't have any freedoms left. Both of them are scumbag criminals in my book, along with 99% of congress. Our country is on the way out. We're not getting stronger we're getting weaker. A police state of total control is being built up around us. If you've never experienced para-military cops running around your neighborhood with fully automatic weapons and Nazi helmets then you probably don't know where I'm coming from.
