Rep Power: 2340 | | Tomorrow is butter day
The game is sunday, and for me, I appreciate the high from ganja that I've eaten, much better than smoking it.
So I am making my ganja butter, most likely tomorrow, so that I can have some brownies for the game all ready to be eaten.
If you'd like I'll post pictures of the process.

Please do Video.
I think we can never have enough diy's.
Seems like green nobody mentioned using a white sock to hold the weed or plant matter.
That seems like a good Idea. I mean something to hold the weed and or plant matter together like a tea bag.
My last couple of trys I just dumped the weed into the butter and slow cooked it in the crock pot for several hours.
Then strained and collected liquid into cups and placed them in the freezer.
Then a few hours later after the butter has risen above the frozen water I scrape off the butter.
Anything to make this process easier would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the windfal of words.
Tried coffee tonight instead of beer when I got off.
Seems like it is hard for me to get high when I am tired.

Okay my friends, it's early in the AM, and I am trying to get an early start on the day, lots to do before superbowl sunday hits! So first off, let me introduce our contenders that will make up our newly made ganja butter:
First we have some high grade mazar, this was a main cola from a harvest several months ago, it is very well dried, as all ingrediants need to be well dried. So far I've only crushed it up between my fingers. This will go into the blender before we proceed. My guess at weight would be about 15 grams. Our second guest to appear is some medi-bud, My guess on weight is between 10 and 15 grams on this one. Since I've only just harvested this a few days ago, I've placed it into the freezer for a bit to help dry it out some more.
Our third, and last guest to appear, is all the trim I've put together, from my last grow of medi-bud. Now this stuff is very well dried, almost dust. My guess at weight is between one and a half to two ounces.
This is basically any leafage that got trimmed, was saved for this purpose.
I almost forgot, our teabag will be one of my wifes old stockings.
(Thank you dear for your donation)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, now that we have our ingrediants, the first step is to place everything into the blender, a little at a time, until all is pulverized.
In the end you'll end up with some powder, looking something like kief.
(I don't want to leave anything out, I love making the butter, but not as much as I love eating it! While I was doing this step with the blender, I "came across" another bud of medi-bud, it weighed in at 12 grams, of course I added it to the mix!)
So my rough estimate is that we are using about 100 grams of ganja for this recipe. At about a QP this is good, especially since about half of our ingredients is made up of top notch smoke too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Allright, now we are moving along nicely.
I have placed a bowl of water on the stove and will bring it to a boil, than I'll add the butter, and lower the heat to a simmer. Than in goes our "teabag" filled with ganja.
Here are some pictures to keep you better informed.
The bowl of water:
The butter, I am using 2lbs of butter.

Looks good Video! Question for you, do I need to wash the stocking before using it? Wouldnt it add to the flavour if I had my wife go jog a couple of miles first then use the nylon???

Damn, I did forget one helpful step, when you place your material into the stocking, it helps if you toss in a few stones to help weight it down. I guess you can use just about anything else you may have that wont cook.
Since I, in a typical stoner moment forgot, I simply placed some stainless steel spoons on top of the stocking to hold it down. I'll let it simmer for about 5 hours.
Now to be honest......I can hardly wait to be finished now!!!!!

Dude, I am cleaning up, now knck it off!
The stove should be the wife's job, but we all know how that goes.
I did want to add an important issue, do not attempt to do this without having adequate ventilation.
I guarantee that you'll need the ventilation. A couple things will happen without it, at the worst, you'll be caught from the smell. End of game.
At the very least, you'll have a buttery syrup all over your walls and than you'll have hobo yelling at you!

I Soooo much want to make some of this, but my wife would kick my ass all the way to Denver if I tried it in the house..and since it is [still] snowing like hell outside the back deck is out of commission too...
The "material" I have available right now is all the bud trim from my last 4 harvests (Sweet Willie, C99, Power Plant and BlueBerry) and another Sweet Willie is getting cut today (was going to do it last night but too tired). I might also toss in a couple 1/2 oz's from the recent grows, making sure it is potent enough to make a difference.
VERY cool thread Vid...thanks!

Hobo, you always make me smile.
ISO, my wife is gone for the day, and by the time she gets home, she would never know except for when she sees me making my brownies! Send her on a shopping trip for the day, and reward yourself. lol No, I'm just kidding some women may get upset by the smell, really does smell alot!
I live on top of a mountain, we own the whole damn thing, and I am still concerned about the smell traveling, it really is that much! Anyways, moving on to complete this thread, its now been 5 Looong hours!
So this is where we sit now, what I do is get a couple of those plastic grocery shopping bags ready to use as gloves:
You'll need these to hold and squeeze the extra butter out of your teabag.....waste-not-want-not, be careful it is hot.
Here is what the whole mess looks like right now:
Carefully lift it out and let her drip:
I can hang mine up over the pot:
Once you've used your plastic gloves and made sure to wring out every last drop, simply set it inside the fridge for several more hours and the butter will float to the top, just pour off the water and your all set for cooking now!

Video...
Last time I saw a set like this they belonged to a Brahma that was trying desperately to end my life......and dunking his BALLS in hot butter makes ganja juice? (Or does your wife just hang those there as a "warning"...?)
Damn...time to go shoot that old bull of my neighbors!
ISO
* feeling good today, so I'm full of it...watch out!
