| | | Summer time favorite beverage?
I love beer (Samuel Adams) but I wanted to share with you all a wine that a friend turned me on to. It's a cali wine called Menage a trois. Yeah you read it right, it is a red wine made from three different grapes (thus the name). I'm Irish Catholic so single malt scotch, beer and wine are mother's milk and this wine is good.
It's after 2PM and I just smoke a joint and I'm on my second glass of wine so I guess I'm done working for today. You know this wine would go great with that steak Fatman talked about in another post. I'm stoned... What is your beverage of choice on a hot afternoon???? |

Alcohol and Meniere's Disease do not mix well. I found this out 3 years ago, and have hardly had a drop sense. Not that I really miss it, but a glass of well chilled Yukon Jack in the evening was really nice...
I did have a beer during the Super Bowl this year, otherwise on hot days I go for the cool water...maybe a root beer if it's caffiene free (can't have that either..LOL)
Never been a big lemonaide fan, but it can do the trick if it gets miserable hot (here that's anything over 90!)

no, simple soda water for me, i have a 7up or so from time to time, but in general is all that stuff way too sweet for my taste - i'm a happier person with a glass of tap water then with some pop - weird for some but that is my beverage

Clean clear well water and ours tastes very fine. Occasionally a beer, or red wine, not much else but coffee with just milk. I don't go for sweet things at all. Not a pop drinker, maybe club soda or perier. I like Corona beer but no lime thank you.

Water is usually my favorite, but when I'm out working in the yard eeeeee I can down a few + beers ice cold. White Russions, and Long Island Ice Tea's. Soda not usually. If I have a slight hang over(not very often, hope hope hope) there is nothing better than an icey icey cold soda. Dr. Pepper.

My drink of choice on a hot summer day here in the south is an "Arnold Palmer" it's just a tall glass of 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 iced tea. It's refreshing. Mmmmmmmm.......

arnold palmers are good, but i sort of re-invented it. i call it an arnold palmer margarita. its like a normal A.P., but you mix in triple sec and tequila to taste, and put a shitload of ice in it and blend well. SOOOOOOO good!
also (you guys should like this), i'm working on something called a "cannibinated beverage". I extract the thc from some weed using the alcohol method (i use bacardi 151), then when its ready i mix that shot in with a rockstar or monster energy drink. its pretty good, but i'm still working on other ingredients for it (i feel that it is lacking that certain "i dont know what"). I'm not sure if its the alcohol or the thc, or both, but you get a nice body high.

Hmmm, I've learned trying to trick the body by using diet junk, just does not work.
I'll eat/drink the diet stuff, than go back and get what I was originally craving for.
I am off soda for good, and do enjoy ice tea, but what I've found to be the most satisfying is the water from walmart. I know....go figure.
It is also one of the more healthier water, not having any salt or additives or calories, yet it is flavored, and when I drink it, it is as satisfying as any other soft drink.
It's also way cheap, at about 54 cents a quart.
Of course when I am not drinking water, its off to my patron! mmmmmmmmmmmm
Peace

I loved ice cold Corona's with limes and shots of Crown Royal on a hot summer afternoon, at one time. But now its water and/or a varying array of juices. Sometimes ice tea is yum.

Mmmmmmmm....... | This Arnold Palmer you speak of sounds awfully like a LemonIcedTea. Why is it named after the golfer, Was it his drink of choice?? I know he didn't invent it.. Is this an American thing???
I don't drink poison no Booze for me, I love me a "LemondIcedTea" under a nice shade tree in the summer. If I'm at a party its Pepsi and a three paper spliff {It's a Canadian thing}
