Rep Power: 28 | | Is it OK to cook with cannabutter over a certain temp?
I already made my cannabutter and i'd like to make krispie treats, but ive heard from a couple of people that you cant cook with cannabutter over a certain temp or the THC will escape. Is this true?

I've heard that anything over 300-325 is too high. If the temp is to high it will vaporize all of the THC. I can tell you I have baked brownies at 350 and they didn't even get me buzzed, I bake them at 300 now and they are killer.

ive heard alot of different views on this. lets clear this up real quick.
"When one considers that there are at least 60 pharmacologically-active compounds in cannabis and that the aromatic terpenoids begin to vaporize at 126°C, but the more bio-active cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabinol (CBN), and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) do not vaporize until near their respective flash points: CBD 206.3°C, CBN 212.7°C,THC 149.3°C"
if you do the conversion, 149.3 degrees C = 301 degrees F.
chuckd420 is right on the money. sweet spot is 275-300. i put my oven at 280/290 because i think it runs a little hotter.
