Rep Power: 116 | | Munchies!!! What do you like to pig out on? I don't know if this is the right place for this or not but...I'm healthy-ish, nothing major has set in at all so far. Just need some dietary changes maybe...ummm honestly, that was an understatement! I used to LOVE Mac and Cheese! Nowadays, it sends me to the bathroom within minutes! I just want to know if anyone has any good munchy ideas that keep you on your couch rather than the toilet seat! Oh, and rice crispy bars are also my new enemy waaaa |

I mix fruit into yogurt, natural baltic yogurt with no geletin (geletin is made from cow bones...nasty for vegetarians) ...blueberries, bananas, nuts, you name it. Whatever you like, just through it in. I buy astro baltic yogurt, vanilla flavor, slightly sweet but not really much at all.
Maybe you have a lactose intolerance or else just can no longer take junk food.
Peace

YUCK I like a good jar of processed sugars & salt with a hint of peanuts anyday.

I like Salties. They are Asian, dried plums with salt and licorice power. If you like salty you should go to an Asian food store and try some. They come in different styles. A lot of people don't like them so buy a small package to try first.
Oh... BTW. Salt is not as dangerous as some doctors say. Fact, more people have died from low sodium than high sodium. Low sodium deaths was a complete unknown before the the low sodium diet craze. People didn't know they could die from NOT ingesting salt.

OR carob is good if you have a hard time with real coca. I also cannot resist a good chocolate. Belgian chocolate is my fave, with a nice ganosh. Truffles are good too, not the muchroom fungas kind but CHOCOLATE truffles....mmmmmmmmmmm!

My favorites are smoked dry or any of the cured meats Italian or Hungarian styles. I like eating the trail mixes and raisins.
Now as you know I went to this cottage a couple of weeks ago. In that town is a chocolate factory and you can buy raw chocolate and many other types for literally buttons. (real cheap) We came home with a bit. Okay a whole box alright. We have been giving away packages that are 1 lb and we still have too much. LOL
I also just made my own canna butter and it's too strong and I will give some of that away too. LOL Need to make some more but with a bit less trim in this batch.
Now I'm hungry. Sorry. |

SUPREME PROTEIN BARS!!!! Manna from god. The carmel/nut/crunch @ room temp.... I could live off 'em 24/7-365. These bars are NOTHING like anything else on the market. Taste like candy, but w/ 1/4 the sugar & carbs & alot of healthy ingredients/vitamins You can try them @ your local 7-11 or get them wholesale @ ProSource.net They just came out w/ snacksize & bite-size 4 packs. So freaking good you won't believe its healthy 1tru1

Another thing I really like are little Dim Sum frozen shrimp dumplings...they are available here in Soubys in the frozen food section. They rock! Come with a ginger soya sauce that is so good! They are called Hacao...I love dim sum!

Alright this is tough because there is so much to choose from (a little in need of munchies now that ive been smoking/thinking about it). these are in no particular order, just five things i thought of.
1) i like cheese wraps - a tortilla with shredded cheese (mexican mix or cheddar), microwaved for a minute or so. sour cream and hot sauce good with them. relatively low amount of carbs (i get whole wheat tortillas).
2) frozen fruit. frozen grapes are one of my favorites. ill also take frozen raspberries, blue berries, mangoes, etc mixed with plain or vanilla yogurt. again here just natural fruit sugar (and sometimes a little sugar in the flavored yogurts), so low carbs and good for ya.
3) trail mixes of all kinds. my favorite of all time is the "Sweet, Salty, and Peanuty" from Trader Joes. The ones mixed with craisins (cranberry raisins) are good too. try to stay away from pure nuts in trail mixes....they contain a lot of fat. mmmm speaking of trader joes...
4) ANYTHING from trader joes. really....i love that place. hummus and pita a top choice though for a snack. they have a "White bean and basil pesto Hummus", and in the chip row they have baked "Parmesan Pita Chips". i can eat the whole thing.
5)Ben and Jerry's Cinnabun Ice Cream. i'm diabetic and i cant even resist this stuff. seriously. its that good. it doesnt last long around me.
