OK, this is an experiment, Lets make that clear! I received a PM from a member here I wont say his name as he has never really posted much but the credit does go to him IF this works.

I should preface this by adding that the member did NOT give me details. He wanted a recipe from me that I willfully gave, A recipe for vodka, He got mad at me I suppose, because I am know blocked from him on this site.

He suggested to me that I should take my stems and run them through my still. He never really gave me much info, He also mentions running roots! ( I found that strangely odd!)But he said he treated patients with it.

As a maker of Green Dragon I was curious. So I started a batch of vodka, which I take 18 lbs of sugar and add brewers yeast to it. I let this sit in my fermenter for 5 days. I normally take this wash and distill it. I usually come out with some crystal clear smoooooth vodka at 160 proof. (I do reduce it to 80 proof but that is another thread!)

Anywho. today was hash day. So in the interest of science I took all of my stems from 48 plants and I threw in some trim from one or two plants just to be safe! and added them to the wash JUST before I ran the still.

For the record, I did a ton of research on this. I could find NO science to back this experiment up. I my self was skeptical at best, However, In the interest of science I will proceed!

So I ran my still in the usual manner. Except that I dumped all of the stems and the trim into the still before turning on the heat.

I did remove the scrubbers from the still (I have this still 13 Gallon (50L) Stainless Steel Milk Can Moonshine Still

What I got was 150 proof weed tasting vodka, I will let you know if I get a buzz off this stuff, Right know I just taste a weed soaked Vodka. It takes 45 min to an hour to feel the effect of THC after ingestion. Mrs FRED says she cant wait that long! We need to go to bed! We have been drinking beer all nite so we will have to see what happens!

My initial response is that I am Totally surprised that I taste the weed! I was alway taught that THC vaporised ate 325 or above. I run the still at 175 to 180 degrees. So I really did not expect to taste weed but I do! Now we will see in an hour if it really worked or not.


Maybe not, I could be dead in the am! If so, I hereby dedicaid my body to science!!!

That's interesting Fred. I have a friend that made a stem and leaf tea, but I never heard of anyone distilling it with alcohol. Like yourself, I would expect the majority of the cannaboids and THC to cook off.

Holy Cow! I was drunk! sorry for the delay in the results, I was hung over all day yesterday. I did NOT get high! This does not work! It tasted like weed but no stone.

My still runs at from 130 to 180 degrees, While this is not hot enough to vaporize the thc it will NOT carry out with the alcohol's vapor.

This is just as I supected, I should have known better! the goofball that suggested this to me want me to use the roots also!

For the record, I did come out with 3 gallons of weed tasteing Vodka. For what thats worth. But the only buzz you get is from the booze. Who wants weed tasteing Vodka???? Anyone???

if you want vodka that gets you high, then get your bottle of reasonably high proof vodka and pour out a third of it (or drink, or store, or whatever). Pack the bottle with trimmings or better yet, spare nugs, broken into little pieces. Put it in a dark place for a week or two, strain the vodka into another bottle and enjoy! Easy.

But why not just smoke weed and drink vodka?

LOL, when I was in High School a friend of mine was the only person I knew growing pot in his closet. One day we were all sitting around and he got the bright idea that slicing the stem of his plant and placing a hit of window pane acid inside the wound might improve his smoke.
He applied wound care to the area and did it a few times throughout the grow. I didn't feel any difference ;>}

Hey Somedude,That's a high dollar drink.The site is pretty neet.I didnt know all that about vodka,I thought it was made from potatoes. I clean my glassware and teflon pieces from my vap with grain alcohol....it ends up looking just like that canna vodka....i am not going to try it though
