that goes without saying. i do not speak only of our common bond in the pursuit of the legalization of cannabis. but i speak of much heavier matters. our very lives. the burdens that we all face every day, weigh us down, and if we let them, they can overcome us. just like the wickedness in this world, that same wickedness that crawls in our very skin, can cause us pain and grief. the toils of daily life. the sorrow. the tragedy.
i am thankful for all the little joys that we have in our lives, for they spur us onward.
i thank God for my children, for they give me the strength and inspiration to not grow faint of heart, to raise my head and fight on.
heavy are the burdens we bear. they would pull our souls down, they would drag them down to the darkest waters of our mind if we let them. we must help each other, edify and strengthen one another, or we will not survive.
