| Two Wolves One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between the two "wolves" inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

| My grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee Indian. Her brother, my grand uncle, lived to be 92, and mowed grass with a push mower up until the day he died, to supplement his income. At age 92, he was still very muscular, and he never got sick, not ever. He still had a full head of jet black hair on his head, and he never had any body hair on his arms or body or face. He also did healings by talking to the pain or illness. We have a photo of my greatgrandmother in indian clothes and a feathered bonnet. | ||||||||
