Default Instant Gratification World

I've noticed lately that most of my peers are extremely impatient when it comes to receiving goods, even weed. I see them texting back and forth getting angry when over 2 minutes goes by with no messages I was like that for some time till I started growing, and learned, good things come to those who wait, but waiting can make the time seem longer. So I just let things come to me, I don't expect them, I let things happen.. People now just have to click and go for things they want, even earn money almost instantly with the help of the internet. But is it really worth the loss of our serenity and mental well being? I started off as one of those(I want a pound in 30 days) type grower. But as I've learned from you all I've also re-learned my value of patience. Out in the real world If I need something and someone doesn't have it I go find someone else. I can't do this with my plants or I (duh) get shit bud. my point of this is: Why can't everyone be like this anymore? With gain, comes sacrifice, but we've sacrificed more than just our money for this.

I agree at first I was only looking at the quick finishing varieties. No I am thinking that a 10 -12 week strain would be fine I would be willing to wait a few more weeks for something diffrent

It's funny.. I wrote this while I was in the midst of a bongover lol. Then I got high and read it and didn't even understand what I wrote.

If jack herrer is even MORE potent and stoney than my knockoff Jock then it's worth a try. I know it takes a bit longer to finish though.

I quoted, in a nutshell, what I am saying to my wife about 3 days a week.

Everybody wants their stuff now, and it seems along with that is the attitude that the rest of the world can go to hell, so long as I get what "I" want, and get it now.

Example: Anyone see those TV commercials that show the guy in line to pay for something, and everone in front of him is using their Credit Card, but he writes a check? They make it look like he is messing everybody up from taking ownership of their item in the next 30 seconds...and they all stand there pissed of because he isn't using X credit card.

What a crock.

I've determined that I AM NOT a "Rat", so there is no need for me to join the "Rat Race" lifestyle.

Ya ever heard the joke about the Old Bull and the Young Bull standing on that hilltop, looking down at a bunch of sexy cows?

Well, I'm the Old Bull.

Damn good thread Kieahtoka. Thanks for the chance to vent!

No prob ISo. My uncle is the one who first introduced the idealism to me. My plants just helped me live a slower peaceful lifestyle.

Back when I was guiding "Cityfied" outdoorsmen around the Mtn's and rivers, I would often tell them to STOP, sit down and stay there for an hour, just looking at the trees, river, critters...what have you. Those guys would dream for months about getting to a beautiful place, then be in such a rush to shoot or catch something they miss what they were really there to get......their sanity back.

Point being...Nature isn't in any hurry. "Think those trees are in a hurry to grow up, or go somewhere? Doubtful"

Learn to live by "Timber Time"...trees can live a thousand years...so they must be doing something right.

I try to slow my breathing down, and to a degree meditate when in the woods, trying to remove myself from the human world and re-enter the animal kingdom as an equal, moving at forest speed, and not in any rush at all.

Kinda deep (difficult) to explain, but that's basically it.
