Cool Do you believe in the spirit world?

Let me be specific, as this is a very broad subject. This question could encompass everything from ghosts to angels and everything in between. I would like to focus on different spiritual entities/energies that have either a "positive" or "good" feeling to them or "negative" or "bad" kinda feel.
And, if you do believe in such, i got a question for you:

1)What kind of experiences have you had?

I firmly believe personally in the spirit world and have indeed"felt" it before.
I actually somewhat believe that everyone has either directly or indirectly "felt" or "experiened this to some degree. I think that it would be interesting to compare some of our experiences. I mean those of us that have experienced such things(I resist calling it phenomena because if it is as common as I believe it is and we will see, it cannot be referred to as such) know for a fact that we have, so we'll know that we are saying is the truth, so therefore, if we know what we are saying is true then we can assume that this conversation and any knowledge obtained from it would be genuine.
So be honest! L0L!

I guess I should start with myself. I believe that we all are wired to be aware of the spirit world, a natural programming if you will, similar to us being wired to be "aware" of heights, not afraid, because not everyone is afraid of heights. I also believe that as people, the more we are exposed to different life experiences, things such as tragedies, personal traumas, religious experiences, etc., etc.. Now the more we experience, the more sensitive we become, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing.
Of course, I don't want to exclude those individuals who for whatever reason, were born being already very sensitive. Of course people like this have a headstart, if you will, but they learn to fine tune it as they live and learn and experience.

I don't have a reason why this is, but I have come to this conclusion after my own life and the things I have learned from other people.

Now, after everything I have been through, survived and experienced, I believe that I am just a little sensitive to the spirit world. You can feel them in the area, and the mood or intent of the whatever you want to call it. I have noticed that different things attract them. Music, our surroundings and the "spiritual climate" of that area/room/whatever you want to call it, even our selves, really. We're kinda like spiritual radio antennas that transmit and receive. So you can kinda see what I mean by that. So, any way, lets get the conservation/observation going guys, nothing like gettin' blazed and learning about stuff they refuse to teach in schools.

I've had many, what I call, wierd experiences; some, are like what you may be referring to. I'll relate one of the most dramatic, for me.

When I got out of the Marines, and returned to my home town, I met a 14 year old adopted son of an older couple I had always known. He wanted to learn to play guitar. I play, so, I said I would give him a few lessons and see if he REALLY wanted to learn.

I showed him the way about 80% of popular music is constructed; the clasic I, IV, V, chord structure. The first lesson was about an hour long. He got a real good handle on playing a progression, using E, A, and D7 at the first lesson. Within a couple of weeks, I could say, "Play something in G, or A flat, or whatever, and he just had it. I showed him how the major scales and minor scales worked, and he had it. Within a year he was playing anything he wanted. I had been playing nearly 20 years at that time, and he could blow me away.

We went to jams at various bars, and it was incredible. When he graduated from high school, he moved to California and lived in the Sierra's. I spent a few months with him, there. He never joined a band, but played with whoever gave him a chance. He was asked to play with a lot of bands, but preferred to write and play casually.

I returned to Minnesota, he stayed in the mountains.

Christmas of 1984, he had been drinking heavily and had gotten lost on his way home. He was found the next day. He died of hypothermia.

I got a phone call on Christmas day and was told the bad news. It was a shock, to say the least. His body was brought home. When I got home after the funeral, I picked up my guitar, and thought I'd play this thing that he and I had worked on, that I never could play the way I had wanted to.

I had absolutely no control of my hands and fingers. Never before or since, have I been able to play with the style and finesse, I had that afternoon. Of course, I didn't record it. I have tried the same piece many times since, and have never come remotely close to what I could do, that day.

I am convinced that Kenny was playing through me.

Thank you, Fatman, for reminding me of this. I haven't had tears for a long time.

Wow, Pappy, that is incredible. I would even say exhilarating. Do you feel that he was trying to let you know something? Because it sounds like it was a positive experience, so would you say he was letting you know everything was ok? To be at peace as he is?

Excellent. We are on a good start, I really do feel like I/We are gonna learn a lot from each other as more of us discuss these things. It should stand as a record as it is being chronicled online. By us. So we know it's true.

Oh yeah, it was very positive. I'm sure he was letting me know that he was ok. He was closer to me than any of my 6 brothers. And he was 14 years younger than I. I've always said that he got it backwards. You're supposed to be a famous musician, then die a bizarre death. He would have been famous, if he had wanted to. He was just 21.

Cool topic.
Ihave always felt a strong presence of postive-negitive and choose my friends with this sence. It was never more noticeable that when I had to have an emergency surgery last Augest.8:00 am I go to my dr with cronic pain in my stomache,He sends my to county with a ruptured appendix. The county hospital is very crowded and full of some fairly rough poeple. The staff at this place were so tainted and tired that hardly anyone there seemed to care at all.Around 1:00 pm a very large woman come is and starts unpacking papers and all are watching her but she said nothing. Then in a very demanding voice she commands attention and starts with a huge amount of information about all the programs available for unpriviledged folks.
Eyeglass programs,W.I.C.,unwed mothers, disability, she had a ton of help for everyone there.
Now i had been there for 5 LONG hours already when she started talking and she helped people for a solid 4 hours.but from the minute she got there ,time started moving very quickly. My wife interacted with her and that seemed to spark interest with others and pretty soon alot of people had life changing information in there hands.this Woman left at 5 but you could feel her presence for hours. She was an angel,All good.I finnaly got looked at at 4:00 am.was admitted and had the finest nurse you could ask for.got a fast surgery and dischargedwithin a day .The 20 hours Spent in pain in the lobby were salvaged by this unpaid volenteer.I kid you not ,there was a time warp thing she had control of and she was thanked be me and my wife.I think about her alot and really consider her an angel.A very positive influance.
My wife is a comforter as well. Shes drawn to people that need her and has seen alot of pain becouse of this strange pull. Her name relates to this as it tranlates to "special one"
If you only open your mind a lil bit ,you will recognize the spirits, there everywhere

Okay my story is a little different. I have always been a little sensitive. More so I think than the average person, and my children are obviously much more sensitive than I as I supressed a lot of things. first thing, when I was 7, my mother re married, my dad was a NATO Awacs Pilot. the first year of marriage to an officer must be spent away from their family on TDY. So My dad was gone to Venezuela, Jordan, Qatar, etc. my dad came back at the end of the year, not sure, and I had a dream, one night i had a dream I was in a plane, in the passenger window and the plane was tilted as they do in turns low to the ground. I looked out the window, and saw fields seperated by colors, like farmers fields of greens and browns and tans. immidiately I knew that it was Germany. I told my m other about the dream, I said I had a dream we were moving to Germany. 2 days later, my dad announced we had gotten orders to move to Germany. Coincidence, Nah, I fell asleep on that 5.5 hour flight from Delaware on a hop, to Dusseldorf Germany. I was awake for the flight, but fell asleep somewhere over the Atlantic. when I awoke, the plane was tilted sideways, and I was looking directly down at the exact fields that were in my dream.

From my contact with alot of people over alot of years, these type of experiences are quite common. Some people don't share their stories because they fear others won't believe them. Thanks, MR DONTH8.

true. and that is the kind of thinking we're trying to avoid! Mr.DONTH8, I hope I didn't offend you, indirectly or otherwise, as it has been pointed out to me that my earlier comment could be taken the wrong way. that wasn't my intention. i was simply taken aback by your honesty.
