THE CHAKRAS OF THE HUMAN BODY

The first Chakra, located at the base of the spine is called the Root Chakra and relates to survival and basic physical needs. Its Sanskrit name is Muladhara which means root or support. Its corresponding color is red. Areas of the body related to this chakra are hips, legs, feet, knees, bladder, adrenals, rectum, bones and teeth. Musical note of C

The second Chakra. located around the lower abdomen is called the Sacral Chakra and relates to procreation, sexuality and emotions. Its Sanskrit name is called Svadhistana which means sweetness. The third Chakra, located above the navel and below the chest is called the Solar Plexus Chakra and relates to personal power and metabolism. Its Sanskrit name is Manipura which means lustrous gem.
