Well everyone, we got off to a good start last year. We got a write up in the Minot Daily News that was very supportive as well as a large feature story in a smaller paper, the Crosby Journal that was just as good. We made some good progress last year getting a letter from Senator Byron Dorgan that stated he was in favor of the government staying out of the Dr./Patient relationship and that this issue "should be left to science and doctors". It was a great feeling to read that from one of our most prominant senators.



This year so far, I am a deligate for Ron Paul at the ND GOP convention at the end of this month. We will be voting on the "Party Platform" issues to determine the ND Republican Party's true stand on issues. I have also entered a resolution that it should be the platform of the ND Republican Party to support the rescheduling of marijuana from a schedule 1 substance down to a schedule 2 substance, for the purposes of research and to make the distinction between marijuana and hemp. I am not sure if this will come to a vote but I will surely have plenty of on-hand information for people to see, as well as copies of a model medical marijuana bill, for consideration by "important" people. I have also set up a youtube account and posted a short intro video to make sure it worked. It would be great to be able to fill an hour show each week.



So we're well on our way as an organization. However, we need help. We need volunteers and donations. If you have any special skills we can use and you are willing to help, contact us please. Here are people with skills we need.



Lawyers, doctors, patients, video/audio people, web masters, interviewers, people to hand out flyers, volunteers for community service under the name of the MCAND, LTE writers, organizers, and virtually everyone else who wants to help.



A lot of this costs money, but if we as individuals do our own printing and advertising, then there is less expense for the organization.

There are so many great people and ideas out there, and the people of North Dakota have been very supportive of medical marijuana when I talk to them. We only need to reach them and let them know the "whole" truth.
