Travelling with

Does anyone travel (plane) while holding? I've done it a few times. I think the airports are so busy putting on security theater that they don't even consider that much anymore. It lives in my pants (read CROTCH) until I'm through security and then I find a restroom and stick it in my sock. Being a pipe/bong smoker, I don't carry any smoking devices; I buy a new one (cheap) at my favorite head shop (thank you Pype's Palace of PDX) and either leave it with a friend, break it or clean it and take it with me (glass). I usually don't have anything left on the return trip. The pipe (if I bring it back) lives in my sock.

One of the last times I got on a plane, the guy sitting next to me smelled like he had just baked hard. We struck up a conversation about lots of things and the fact that he was stoned came up when he said that he had broken his arm but didn't have a cast on it. I've smelled people who obviously recently smoked in the security lines and nothing happened to them.

I'm also curious about what would happen if I bought a new pipe or bong and packed it (unused) to bring home with me. I haven't done that.

I've only seen dogs once. They perked up when they smelled the fried chicken in my bag but kept on walking. I'd always heard about the dogs (before I started traveling by plane) and it seems to be more hype than anything else. Back in the days when I'm sure they were busting people for carrying a large amount, I would see where the need for dogs was appropriate. But now, they are sniffing for explosives and I would imagine any drugs they find is purely coincidental.

Do or would any of you risk it?

I have brought a few new pipes and such though in bagage; nothing ever happened.

it's getting to be a bit harder to transport personal supplies during air travel now a days. more and more airports are pushing for those scanners that let them see you bare ass'd. i suppose you could always use the good ol' back pocket of the birthday suit your wearing... just sayin.
