Being new to this area...and living the life we do...we don't like to socialize much with people. Our neighbor down the street is good friends with our boss, another reason not to let him in to our lives. I have learned that one must be careful who one lets in to their house.
When we first met him, one of the first things he asked was if we smoked. We replied that we used to, but did not partake much anymore(lie).
I train horses..and suffered a couple bruised and bent/cracked ribs 2 weeks ago coming off a crazy Mustang. I have been unable to do much as fart without horrible pain. Sitting, standing..sleeping is all hard.
So last night when he dropped by witha half joint of some mediocre smoke, I let him in. Lortabs did nothing for the pain but make me nauseous..and my liver is gonna shut down if I take anymore Tylenol, I knew a few tokes, even off of not such great pot may help.
Boy did it.
After maybe 3 hits, I was able to get up and move around without looking like Quasimodo. I could sit comfortably...and was able to get to sleep and sleep more than four hours without waking up.

Nothing helps like Cannabis...period.

Nice to here this, Gramma! There are angels everywhere and sometimes they come from the most unexpected sources. It sounds like your neighbor could be a good friend to you, if you let them. They came to you with an open hand. I am not saying to tell them your business, but it sounds to me that this stranger is simply a friend you had not met yet. Let them be your friend.

Peace and good karma to you. I know you have been hurting. Maybe they came in answer to your prayers and will help you further. It is up to you.

I do not see them as being harmful, just their willingness to share and offer you this without knowing your need. That is a good thing.

Nice letter, Gramma. I need to have a good answer for that question, too ("Do you smoke?") Sometimes I say, "As often as possible." I guess it all depends on who's asking and what mood I'm in.
I surely hope mj is legalized soon, so people who need this wonderful herb can get the relief they need! Can you imagine how many "straight" people would be totally surprised, if they didn't feel 'dirty' by trying it for their pain and nausea?

My guess is that your "boss' may also be cool...at least cool enough 'cus if this is his friend you KNOW they have broached the topic...and even if he doesn't smoke..they are STILL friends which says to me that he isn't so far off the other side he can't respect/accept that folks are all...well...different in their needs.

Who knows...maybe the boss sent him by to "break the ice"??? I hope so.
