Hey all I'm a big Football fan and I thought maybe we could use a place to talk about it. I don't know how many fans we have on GP but I fugured it'd be worth a shot. Hopefully we can get some good fun in this thread and talk about our favorite teams. I'm sure there will probably be more smack talking than anything but thats fine to. lets just all be respectful!
I'll go ahead and say I'm from Oklahoma so I'm a big Sooner fan but I like Tulsa more even though they are confrence USA They are more of a home team. I always go for both but today they are playing eachother and I'm wearing my Tulsa Gear hoping to god they can beat OU since Sam Bradford is hurt.
What is your favorite team? how are they doing?

Well Tulsa is sucking but Boomer Sooner I suppose. California was close for a few minutes but they beat minnasota. I'm not home so I'm limited to what games I get to watch. I'm not a USC fan I'd like to see them get beat. And I always love to see Texas Lose. Unless they are playing USC.

Washington beat USC! Oklahoma killed Tulsa. I had to quit watching and I went to check my outdoor plants and harvested a little runt that started flowering real early. it was bag seed and it taste just the same as it did when i bought a quarter for $25. But it smells good. And I'm going to contiue to cure until i smoke it all. I have a few more plants taller than me out there. This one didn't even make it past my knees

this was a bad season for me to post this. My Sooners lost once again. Tulsa is still doing well though. And I know this is NFL but How about those Vikings?? Anybody catch that game last week with that touchdown pass with 2 seconds left in the game? and Monday night against green bay was just fantastic.
Would you guys rather talk about golf or something? I know I'm not the only smoker that watches football.

If the Sooners would have lost this week i'd have been upset. I am a major Texas Hater and guess who we play next week? thats right our arch enemy. the longhorns. Our QB was hurt on the first game. Baylor Saturday was the first time he's played since. he's done well. But Texas is going to be a tough game. I would reccomend you watch it but I'm sure it won't be worth it. Unless your a Texas fan. and I know you're out there. As much as I hate your team. lets be friends? I don't know how Tulsa did or OSU. I got to see the Chiefs go into OT with the Cowboys and was very disappointed but not surprised one bit that the Chiefs choked. I'm going to smoke now its been a long football weekend and I'm starting to get teams mixed up.

oh feel free to smack talk. nothing wrong with alittle friendly rivelry. I love all my Oklahoma teams. OU TU then OSU. but I'll always root for the Big 12 before any other confrence. BUT Texas is honestly last on my list in the big 12. other than maybe nebraska. Texas Tech sure did Oklahoma a favor last year though. I'm still waiting for the playoffs. But yes I'm friends with all on this site for life no matter who their favorite football team is. unless they beat my team then I'll not talk to them for a week. other than that its all good!!
Yes may the best team win. I'm hoping for OK but pretty sure it'll be TX again. it happens.
thanks for being apart of my lonely thread!!

yeah thanks Hatch for being a part of my thread. and yes McCoy did spend alot of time down. Luckly he wasn't hurt though. Sam may have lost his chances in the NFL unless he can fully heal and prove himself next year. but if he gets an offer this year i'm sure he'll hop on it asap just in case. it was a close game and a good game even though it didn't turn out how I wanted it to. it was much closer than I really thought it'd be.
Sooner born Sooner bred & when I die I'm Sooner dead.
Vikings are kicking ass right now. they play the steelers next week and thats my wifes fav team. I am looking forward to it!!
Thanks again hatch for the reply. I hate talking to myself about football. and congrats to all the Texas fans. I know their everywhere.

do you think with these injurys he still has a chance? if ol bobby will let him heal? I think because of this desaster of a year he'd be smart to stay another unless he gets a good offer. I'd love to see him with the vikings but that won't happen. maybe KC Chiefs. They suck. they could use a QB. and much much more...

Ya, The Injury Has Hurt His Chances For This Year (i would think), Ya Bobby Wanted That Game Against Texas, & Maybe Pushed Him In To Soon??, Hopefully They Will Let Him Heal Completely Now, About The NFL, The Money Will Always Be There, He Is A Smart Kid & Hopefully Has Good Guidance And Will Stay For A Nother Year. I Wish Him The Best Of Luck!!!

Heya Mota! Let the games begin.... I have to say that this has been one of the funnest years for college ball ever... I am totally dorked out over every Saturday's drama not only for my own team but there are so many great games going on! Did you see the Alabama Tennesee game? Duh duh dayum! And I would LOVE to see Florida get beaten... we'll see what happens... I think legalization is likely to occur in Texas before they change the way the BCS is decided, which I think SUCKS!!! (Not the legalization; the BCS BS....) And I'm sorry, but TCU deserves a fair shake at a bowl. Just because they are Mountain West and are bowl ineligible is crap.... if anything, Baylor needs the heck OUT of the Big 12... put TCU in... it would make the Big 12 South much more interesting and make BOTH OU's and UT's seasons more challenging... a gram for your thoughts, pigeon! ;)

Hey FarmGirlMedic! Welcome to the site and thank you for stopping by my NCAA Football thread. I missed most games last weekend I worked a booth at Octoberfest (Wearing my Norml T-shirt BTW!!). But I did see some good highlights. I'm sad the Sooners are blowing so hard and Sam is done and Dez from OSU is done. I'd love to see Tulsa in the big 12 but I don't know if that will happen. And yes the BCS is total BS But so are the Laws.. Either way. thanks for the post. You seem to know quite a bit about football!! hope to hear more from you!
