Default marijuana alternatives (legal buds)

I need to quit smoking for my job.

Are there any marijuana alternatives (legal buds) that actually give you a buzz? or is it all a waste of money

If you were to have a condition for which marinol was prescribed I do believe you would be able to pass your drug tests. Check with your employer/doctor.

If youre a person who needs to stop smoking for your job, but still want to smoke *something* (IE: the satisfaction of taking that 15mins to roll up/pack and enjoy the taste of something and watch the smoke blow out *Sorry i was a long time Cig smoker so i know that satisfaction*) i would look into just getting some kinds of herbs, and making your own "Blend" based on what your tastes are. Most of that legal shit is just this but rolled together with binding agents to attempt to make it look like weed. But it isnt. And the quality of the starting product they use has to be marginal at least.

However, if you do some research on herbs and plants that native cultures have used for thousands of years, you will notice that most all but tobacco are non-cancer causing, and alot of them actually do alter youre state of being enough to give you "something"....think of it in tobacco and nicotine terms.

Dont buy into any extracts or 10x5x bullshit etc etc youre not tryin to trip on salvia here just satisfy your needs to smoke. And i do reccomend smoking anything but Tobacco.....i dont know how the deadliest plant on earth is legal personally. (Other then the obvious financial reasons)

salvia can be good if youre really careful with it...a little bit will send you a long way...lol

its most likely the only "legal high" that will get you "high" ive tripped as hard on salvia as i have on acid and shrooms...i have no idea how its legal as strong as it is

Yes but i was referring to something more realistic, as in Not tripping or getting "High" in any way. Because there is NO plant that will produce an effect similar or comparable in any way to actual weed. So if thats what someone is looking for then they can have fun chasing shadows but theyre always going to be sadly dissapointed in the end.

And if you did want to actually trip on salvia at some point, then using a salvia plants leaves in an herbal smoke blend isnt what i would reccomend because even though you arent tripping at all when you smoke youre still introducing trace amounts of the chemical into your body which in turn builds up a tolerance making it harder to get a full effect when you really do wanna open that book.

Salvia hasnt been around as long as weed, I did some research on the web and also watched some videos of "bad Trips" on youtube, not to mention that when the person does it they seem like a crack head. I would totaly say right now DONT DO IT.

There's a few 'legal' high options listed at
Ethnobotanicals (Natural drugs) - Drugs Forum
Erowid

Be aware that none are as safe as MJ, and some are actually pretty dangerous (especially to the liver i.e. Kava). Some are also pretty addictive. Some might trip a positive on a drug test (i.e. Kratom). Most are not smoked. Also, some states are passing laws against things like Salvia, Kratom, etc), so do some legwork to check legality in your state.

Sorry, no easy answer.

just to be clear im not suggesting anyone use salvia as a replacement for weed...in fact dont use it at all unless you know what you are doing...its seriously strong stuff dont take it lightly cause it can mess you up...its not something i would personally use more than once or twice a year at the most and only in the right situation..

Save your money and put it in to your grow equipment so that when you can start smoking again you will be in cannabis heaven.
