|  Lets start a debate........ Hey people...... I understand all about getting out the trusty old ten dollar radio shack microscope and looking at the trics. I also know it is said that with some strains you can pack on as much as 20% in the last few days prior to harvest too. Theres all sorts of beliefs and tactics one does before a harvest, to try to get the most, or the best. So I've got a situation for you all to ponder, I grew some bubble gum a while back, and being a true stoner, who was totally out of weed, I harvested some of my bubble gum at only 6 weeks. The deal is, that for the life of me, I could not tell the difference in quality between the weed harvested at 6 weeks, vs the weed harvested at 8 weeks. Whats your take on this observation?

| A man after my own heart... I've always been very sensitive to, and critical of the kind of effect that MJ has on me. I firmly believe that timing of the harvest is critical with a lot of the strains I grow. One week too early and ya got a very nice mellow and light head high, and a week late and it's couchy...and perfect is...well...purrrrrfffeeect Another example is this ATF I've got growing. I harvested one a few weeks ago when it was at 50 days and it was a very mellow but long lasting cranial high. Last night I harvested the second of them at Day 57 (there are 5 more in flower), and it still is not perfectly ready but definately closer. This bud (quick dried a couple buds) is much more powerful, but still cranial in nature. I am thinking, based on these 2 plants, that "perfection" is going to be around 68-70 days...we'll see in a couple weeks! ISO

| I have been doing an experiment myself. Never having harvested by trics, I have harvested at third clear, third cloudy, and the rest ranging between just amber and deep amber. etc. to see where we like it. The jury is still out on this....so far we like em all! LOL!

| How about this.... On any individual plant you will find budz at different states of maturity and amoung plants there will also be variation so.... the two budz you were comparing may have been at similar maturity even though they were harvested 2 weeks apart or how about this seven was the peak and 6 was before and 8 was after or how about this a great deal of the knowledge we pass on about weed it not objectively true at all and our expectations usually cloud our ability to be objective...we tend to reinforce our beliefs without knowing it....you just showed that all this about the best moment to pick is B.S. or.... | ||||||||

| okay video, that is actually a thing i can tell for sure - the BB of my last batch been harvested at 7, 8 and 10 weeks and i can tell for sure that the 10 weeks old is the best, no doubt on that. the one i harvested around week 6-7 don't even get me on the first hit, the bud from week 8 (harvested according to usual schedule) i feel the hit but it doesn't take me right away, week 9-10 harvested at 80% milky takes me with the force of a sledgehammer if i toke too much at once. So having the patience pays -not only for scout snipers
