| Will it hold up in court? What I mean is, I have researched a lot on this subject lately, and multiple organizations and religions that consider cannabis either a holy sacrament or the tree of life mentioned in the Bible. Considering the first amendment of the Constitution of The United States states, AMENDMENT 1 [Religious and political freedom.] — Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Also, section 3 of the Declaration of Rights states, Sec. 3. Freedom of worship. — That all men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own conscience; that no man can of right be compelled to attend, erect, or support any place of worship, or to maintain any minister against his consent; that no human authority can, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience; and that no preference shall ever be given, by law, to any religious establishment or mode of worship. I wonder how then it is possible for those who practice as such can be persecuted? And prosecuted? Why have we, the citizens of the USA strayed so far from our rights? Have we forgotten that we truly are a free nation? I would like to hear some feedback on this. | ||||||||

| Too many people have traded in bits and parts of their freedoms for assurances of security from the Pres. Willingly given away freedoms to feel safer. No thank you I will pass on that. I would rather keep my freedom (all or it) and watch my back.

| My sentiments exactly, that is why I am trying to unite the multitudes of individuals, activists, and pro-legalization activists out there. I am currently compiling a list of legitimate petitions for different states as well as federal level petitions. I am so sick of this. We are taken advantage of, rediculed and labeled as criminals. I digress. However, one thing that does not make sense to me is how is it that so many of us are complacent toward this? | ||||||||

| I know I have said this before.... The only way is to go to Washington in masses... As many sick people as can make it... Congress does not want you there, they will do whatever to take the pressure off them... They don't want the public to see sick people in the halls... Looks very bad on them.... They don't understand what it is like to be sick... These guys make big bucks by being there... Once they see what the real picture only then will things change... Believe me the media will follow and the exposure will educate all America as to the benefit's of medical marijuana... Otherwise the Drug companies have bought them out... I am certainly not a racist but the Black Americans have been doing it for years... works for them... MM

| Exactly Murf. It is our RIGHT to PEACEABLY assemble. We need to organize something some how. I am all for this movement and can feel the winds of change blowing. We all are linked together. We are brothers, sisters, friends, compatriots. We must utilize the strengths and talents that each of us possess. Lets fan the fire, for it is going to take fire to beat fire in this. You've heard the reports. California. Oregon. The have mounted an assault against a peaceful nation. This should not be so. They have violated our fundamental, God given rights. I intend to do my part and am an eager "soldier" in this cause. If you know of a bonafied petition circulating, please contact me here or at cannabis_frontline@yahoo.com. Together we can change the world. To say otherwise would be rediculous and illogical. Peace | ||||||||

| I am in the heart of the bay area c.a (san fran, Berkeley, Oakland,) and there are plenty of movements here that are always ready to fight the good fight if the movement is going to be monumental then you will need a outrageous amount of law makers also to back you otherwise we will be viewed not as people whom want to help people but as drug users so i think it imperative to get your local congressman/ women to help you/us be heard. califonia has some law makers that have been helping us fight for the little amount of ground we have gained so far. but it is a long road ahead of all of us whom wish to honor our rights and help those in pain and need. in other words im in and if anyone needs someone to stand beside in washington and hold up pickets let me know i will be there .

| We need more actors and public figures to speak more freely of marijuana use and beliefs. The more exposure the issues get the easier the fight will be. Putting these issues in the media is key. People will eventually make the right decision I think. That is once all the old farts leave office. I think the younger generations will bring the changes we need. It needs to boil down to the fact that the votes the canidates want will hinge on these issues. If enough people decide to change things then they will be changed. I just hope I will still be around to see it hapen. | ||||||||

| There is alot that we can do in addition to picketing. There are many ways to make our voices heard. We do this by supporting each other and networking. By unifying our numbers and individual efforts, we become a force to be reckoned with. There are hundreds of dedicated groups that need our support. Greenpassion is in fact one of these groups. As a reminder, look up the Greenpassion mission statement and vision statement. I urge all members to donate as much as can be spared to Greenpassion. Not only is it a forum where you can be edified and have all your questions answered by qualified growers, or play for endless stoned hours in the massive arcade, but Greenpassion is a movement in itself. Helping To Make Life Manageble For The Medical Grower. This says it all. As far as donating, whether it's $5.00 or $20.00, maybe more, it is all more than appreciated by all members, mods, and admin. It does more than you would think. In addition, any kind of support we can lend to GP or other groups is the only support that is needed---->ANY SUPPORT. Sign a petition. Call or email a senator, congressman, or other officials. Don't be afraid of retalliation or being put on a watchlist. This is our FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT. Peace my brothers and sisters in arms(peaceful arms). | ||||||||
