The universe is yours....don't say you are old until you need that walker due to age. Even my 87 yr old mum refuses to use hers.....just won't let it get to her....87 folks!
It really is a state of mind. I plan on keeping my mind state the way it is....if I can remember what that is....

Lmao, That is a good way to think for sure. My mom jus had a heart attack not too long ago, but she was in the hosptial when it happend. She had a really serious case of cardiac edima, which means she has fluid building up in her tissu, so she has to take lasic and then the blood thinners for her heart. She has lost 70 pounds in 3 weeks, all fluid so, when she went into the hosptial, she got and angeogram a number of times and one of the times they were in there it losened something and it clogged her heart valve. but now she is at home and I'm here watching her. I'ts funny cause my mom all my life hated me smoking, but now i might be able to get her to eat a cookie, she is considering it, she has bad arthritis :(

Phyllis Diller had a joke... something to the effect of, "I had a pain behind my left breast. It was my knee."

she will love you for it
i have both types osteo and rhumatoid
comes with the territory with Fibromyalgia
nothing can compare to the relief from cannabis..
you're a good son to keep trying..
my mom told me when i went back to college as an adult with kids that my brain wouldn't work as well as the kids because i hadn't been using it all these year! Can you imagine? She thinks she gets dumber as she gets older.
well, I went back to school alright! Blew the young kids out of the water in every single class. Being at the top of the class was simply a choice of how much time and effort i wanted to spend..
and yet, she is correct. SHE does get dumber as she gets older, because that's what she believes about herself.
She often sets examples for me as to what NOT to do, say, or believe... Not complaining, mind you. It's very useful knowledge!

Seems like we have a more mature following than some of the other boards I've seen. Not that it's a quality necessarily proportionate to age, just higher in it's probabilities in tandem with experience.

Truth. I was backcountry skiing at Independence Pass last year and met a 70 year old. He's still going strong and getting after it.

My brother and I got my Mom to start smoking the herb about six years ago. It seriously changed her life for the better. She had only tried it once or twice in her youth, and was pretty ignorant to the facts. You can become more wise with age, or as you've pointed out, make the decision to yield the rest of your time to complacency.
