Rep Power: 162 | | How many hate sports?
When I was young I was taught to enjoy sports, both in participation and spectator.
But as I aged I began to hate all sport except, strangely mix marshal art competition.
But telecast a football game, baseball, soccer, OMG golf, I just hate golf the most and I hate most of the spoiled jerks that play it.
OK my rant |

hate is a strong word. I feel you on golf and baseball. sorry if you hate my football thread. I'm not a real big fan of TV so the only time I really watch TV is football season. I don't know why I love it so much but I do. I'm sorry you feel so strong about your hate for sports. I also for some reason like tennis and womens beach vollyball

Yes that have smaller breast. but they don't have to be double D's to turn me on. they tend to have nice behinds too. I don't drink either and watching football they don't seem to show us the drinkers. its like they only show us the game and some people watch the strategy rather then the pumped up players muscles.
Sorry if I touched a nerve.

As a kid I played soccer and boxed for years...as I got a little older My soccer ball got replaced by a skateboard and a football... I personally have been a New England Pats fan since I was around 8 or 9 and I still love sports at 35...I even golf=) in camo cargo shorts and a cypress hill shirt most of the time...I'm not spoiled...I'm ghetto...lol...it sucks to watch but to play is actually pretty fun when your with a group of friends and trash talking the whole time.

I played sports all my younger life. I liked playing just about anything physical. When my son got into sports I tried my hand at coaching. I wanted to participate with him and didn't like the normal screaming that went on from the sidelines.
Ended up getting my National Certification which allowed me to coach my son and his team in the Provincial Finals one year. That was a gr8t time.
I have a hard time relating to some of the pro athletes incomes and some of the whining they do. Where I am up here it costs a small fortune to go to any game in my town. Besides our local hockey team hasn't won scratch in over 40 years! ROFLMFAO
Now if there is a good poker game on TV I would watch that.

For the question of do you hate SPORTS i would say def not. Do i hate the activities ASSOCIATED with sports? I would say some.
I am a season ticket holder for the mighty DC United, and enjoy the sadness that is the Skins but i enjoy watching the games on tv and live. I could do without the totally sh*tfaced drunks cursing around families and spilling beer on people but thats what you get these days unfortunately. and who needs all that melodrama of the professional athlete...which also isnt SPORTS hehe. the athlete sits at home holding out for an extra 2mil on their 25mil contract...not the sport of football or baseball.
baseball i find to be a bore but the history of it and the dreams it still holds for kids is pretty cool in my book. imitating babe ruth in an empty lot and such.
Beach Volleyball...WHERE?!?!?! hahaha. i love it. Indoor volleyball is a little better bc you have 10 lovely ladies on the court using what their momma gave em. its fantastic.
and personally i enjoy nothing more than smoking a big bowl of herb, having a strong yerba mate tea w/guarana, and then training my musically inclined martial arts.
i suggest you smoke a bowl and head to your local bowling alley for some true fun!!! haha

I'd love to coach my son at football. and I'd love to see camster golfing with a Cypress Hill shirt and camo on. Thats the only way you'd catch me golfing. Maybe not Cypress Hill on my shirt but i'm sure it would be similar!

I have little to no interest in "pro" sports. (overpaid, overexposed, over-rated)
Ditto for "motorized" sports.
I do, however, enjoy seeing people compete for fun and for personal improvement...especially in "individual" sporting events. The Olympics come to mind immediately.
great topic, lumix.

Rep Power: 11 | | I'm not too big into mainstream sports if you will. I do like baseball. Not so much the Majors as I do Minors Triple AAA ball. Those guys play hard to get that call up to the Majors. For me it’s a great day to sit in the sun drink beer and eat cheap hotdogs with my buddies. I'd have to say my biggest passion sport wise is racing bikes for a local Pro-Am team ala Tour De France style. I started racing roughly 12 years ago and have never been in better shape cardio related. Most think it dumb to ride bikes here in the US. That’s cool too. Everyone is entitled to think what he or she likes. Racing is all about tactics and strategy out on the road during a race. After that it comes down to having a big enough pair of balls to lean on and bump into other riders jockeying for that perfect spot leading to the finish line at 30 to 40 mph. When I first started I was a 210 lbs sloth. My race weight now is 150 lbs with a resting heart rate of 36 beat per minute. Going in to have a yearly physical done is fun too when the nurse take my pulse two or three times claiming there’s no way I have a heart rate that low. I’m able to take it in the opposite direction too and ramp it up to 165 beats per minute and hold that over a two hour stretch as well. The true upside is I can eat all the time just about anything I want and not gain weight. That’s great for stoned induced munchies. I'm right there with you on the Bikes. I love riding bikes but I love watching skateboarding on the xgames and what not. Mostly bmx not so much Lance Armstrong bikes. you know what I mean. Mixed Martial Arts isn't a sport to me. talk about testosterone. But still. not a team sport 1 person team reprasenting one person its alot more personal. and when I said I like football. I mean Ncaa. Much more pride in college games. NFL is fun to watch your favorite NCAA players grow up and become rookies of the year and set records. AKA Adrian Peterson!! Go Vikings.
Anyway. I will never hate competition. I didn't grow up with my parents trying to get my into sports either. I had a neighbor that talked me into playing football when I was in the 6th grade. I love the team sport and learning. but unfortunatly I had no idea anything about the sport of football. I wish I would have stayed with it. and started early. I may have made it to a nice college but to late. I'm only 5'8 anyway. 180 but no jiggles!! haha I can't get high and play football unless its on the 360.
Much love to all
Ryan

In high school, I don't think I ever made it through a whole season, in any sport. I either got injured or got kicked off the team for smoking. Football, wrestling, track, ...didn't matter. I really sucked at sports.
My older brothers were all local sports heros. It was, therefore, assumed that I would be at least adequate at sports. Didn't happen.
One of the reasons my wife puts up with me, is that I have no interest in professional sports.
I used to think, "What a waste of time, watching sports on tv."
But then, I will sit for a couple of hours, listening to a symphony. Or, watch a gardening show. Or, a woodworking show.
I guess,...whatever trips your trigger!?!?
