Dude we are 1!!!!!!! I am not so up on lighter weights or mordern fighters as i am switching over to cage fighting a little. But lo and behold my video collection, i have over 100 vids of classic fights. (I subscribed to a mag) have been to see plenty of big bouts even TYSON v BRUNO fight two in MGM VEGAS. We have been to see Ricky Hatton a few times along with Prince naseem, I even got twAtted by a security officer whilst trying to get THE GREAT KEN NORTON's autograph, and again twatted a lil bit trying to sneak to the front of the apron at the MGM whilst hanging on to jack nicholas and his ontorage. I love boxing but unfortunatelty not being very good i have a boxers arse more than nose, but hey who cares its just about the scrapping. I have tried n tried to get my lil fella into boxing but as u cant throw knees n elbows he said he aint interested. So off we went to the local MUAY THAI where he is doing just fine. Of course in my eyes the lil 8 yr old rascil is gunna whoop some future ass.

hopefully..as for the science theirs more to it in mma than normal boxing..i swing you swing boxing...i take you down you counter i counter you take down put me in a triangle i have to slip the open guard an get an arm bar..more thinking

Hatton V Mayweather is on the books(Dec 8th)...so is Mosely v Cotto(Early Nov.). Then you still have Paul Williams, Kermit Cintron, Antonio Margarito, Andre Berto and Josh Clottey still out there....all in the same weight division. Looking for the same belt.

Right now...the lighter weights are where the quality boxers are. Welterweights in particular.

Im an oldschool fightfan as well. I remember sitting in front the tv when I was a 10 y/o watching HBO Champ. Boxing....Aaron Pryor vs. Alexis Arguello. Classic fight.

well since i wasn't dissing boxing an since i understand it quite well saying what you said is bullshit....the threads title is fight fans so i thought you meant all fighting not limiting to just boxing my bad...but when you give your opinion ima give mine to...so when i say theirs more science to grpling swinging kicking elbowing an submission moves..to just lets says swinging fainting leading(which by the way is in mma as well)...also as you can see i also hadsaid i liked k1 an mui tie which has its differences from mma...peace

it may have veered off topic but it was from your stout acusation of me not understanding the science of boxing....personally i know when i watch boxing i watch the spanish fighters in the light weight an feather weight divisions...very fast paced very fun to watch...
