What have yall heard,experienced, with homegrown shroom's?

Is it more dangerous then anything?

Seen the kits and all u can buy, i been craving some shrooms,but lost all my connec's.Its been about 3 years since my last trip.

i always wanted to try it out but never got to ordering the kit. I've seen plenty of videos on how to do it right. looks pretty simple as long as you do it clean. Mold grows easily, its controlling the mold that is tricky.

A Buddy of mine , 'said' he was growing them at his dorm room,he take them once a day for rotation,or something , and closesit back,put's under the bed. i havent seen him since, but he's one of those guy's u never now if he's bullshittin or being dead serious.

I would have to find a guiny pig.

i have some experience with it and must say if you do not know what you are doing i would not attempt it...the main thing when it comes to mushroom cultivation is being sterile on a micro level which can be HARD. put that aside, and its not too challenging. you just do not want to eat anything that has become "contaminated" with a bad type of fungus/bacteria. temps need to be somewhat high during incubation and fruiting needs to have 100% humidity.

if done correctly, they come out very good and strong depending on strain. they also grow pretty fast. you can order different spore syringes of different strains. i was helping a buddy produce these for a few months...they were some of the best shrooms i have ever eaten. knowing where they came from and that they were safe to eat was also very calming, it allowed me to enjoy them to the fullest!

i would suggest doing your research first, like anything, if you are considering a go @ this..it is a science.

they do work by like everything <in my opinion> your gonna get better results from outdoor. ive had expereince in growing shrooms and it is possible to keep a continous grow going, but like ice said its all about being sterile.

I have grown some very nice shrooms before. i did order one of those kits, but you can make it on your won alot cheaper. basically you need a few plastic tubs, perilite, vermiculite, a mushroom spore syringe (or culture if you can get it), and a dark sterile place. This is the place i used, they sent me all the stuff, gave me directions, and discreetly sent me a spore syringe with good genetics. pretty cheap too, i got the 'Veracity Sincerties' strain and it kicked my butt! i enjoy eating boomers but i really can only enjoy them to the fullest and have an awesome trip if i know where they are coming from and that they are clean. it is fun and pretty easy to grow but sterility is KEY! they only take about a month if you know what you are doing. you can also get up to 3 flushes (harvests) from the same batch! you do not want to eat some nasty fungus or bacteria! most likely you will trip....but it will not be an enjoyable time @ all.

although this subject IS very different from what we are doing here at GP. I couldnt help but to chip in with some hopefully helpful info.

mushroom cultivation of cubensis strains was pioneered by the late western shaman, terence McKenna. its not hard to do, but there are alot of pitfalls. first off is cleanliness. the substrate must be COMPLETELY STERILE or you may ingest harmful bacteria.

also, on a side note. we the administration/mod squad would prefer if such subject matter as Psilocybes, LSD, LSA, MDMA, Mescaline, DMT and other pure hallucinogens stayed outside this forum.

this is not personal, just that there are so many other forums regarding tese matters and we would like to keep things here, lets say purely cannabis related insofar as growing information etc.

this is nothing personal, I am actually an avid psychonaut myself and hold no grudge against psychadelics, infact i think they hold one of the keys to a brighter future. and may be one of the missing pieces of modern society.

that said. if no-one minds I would ask on behalf of the mod squad if subject matter relating to other 'ILLEGAL DRUGS' was kept to a minimum. its just so this forum doesnt turn into something its not.

no need for paranoia at all, no-one is gonna ban you for your post. and i'm all for free speech and curiosity.

also what i wrote was just a sort of check or whatever so we dont go overboard with other stuff here at GP.

and to answer your question « 'home made shrooms are good if they arent contaminated with other fungi and molds. and its sooo much cheaper too'
but its alot harder to do than cannabis because sterility is a must. even with pre-made kits you can get contamination
