Drinking mother makes girl, 9, her designated driver

Provincial police stopped a car driving slowly on a county road south of Perth, Ont., Sunday, and were surprised to discover a nine-year-old girl behind the wheel.
The girl's mother, 35, was in the passenger seat, police said.
The woman had been drinking, and was worried that she might be over the legal limit to drive, police said.
A subsequent breath test indicated she would have been able to legally drive the car.
Lanark County OPP charged the woman with careless driving for allowing her daughter to drive the car.
Police did not release their names.

(okay, i been driving around at the same age but that was in the days where you were still legal to drive if you couldn't walk anymore as well - loved to driving mom's beetle around)
