Hate to be the odd man out, I think the cop had a point...(albeit a weak one..LOL)

NO ONE should be fed anything they are not aware of. If you've ever had someone slip you a tab of acid (or worse) in your youth then you could understand.

Consider: If those cops had gotten a call to save a life from a car wreck, burning house, etc. it would have compromised their safety, and that of the public (us) that in many cases DEPENDS on LEO. In a tiny town like Isleta there's probably only a few on-duty anyway.

Do you think that cop is going to have a "soft spot" for any teen (or anyone else) that he catches with MJ? I doubt it. It hurt our cause...although it was done in fun.

If I were the cop I would have kicked their asses, and let it go at that, and hope they at least had enough respect (the next time) to ask if I wanted a "WeedBurger" with my fries.

I see the concept of it being a prank...but they need to think a bit before trying it again.

sure, you shouldn't be violated by third party, but also there has been no harm done to anyone here too!

So, they got probation time and probably some hours to work off for the community, so this part is well served. those two been scared to hell and back by the blowback of their little prank.
