Rep Power: 89 | | Broken water pipe base, any repair ideas?
during the cross country move the base of my glass piece broke.
Im thinking of something along the lines of the old schoool "graffix" bongs that had the velvet covered can filled with "something".
including a few shots to grasp what Im dealing with.
any ideas, shoot em my way.

Get a piece of window screen and use it to knock off those sharp corners. Then get a metal file and use that to take care of any sharp edges.
Find a nice piece of wood for a base, cut an indent into the wood for the base of the bong, and use some superglue or dow-corning silicone caulk to glue the bong to the base.

I agree... try to knock off the sharp edges then find a way to put a new base on it. something like bondo might even work, put a fat glob on the bottom, sit on flat surface, wait to harden, sand and paint to your liking. not sure if bondo will shrink too much when it dries to use on glass though, as long as its not around the bottom it should be ok.

a good `glass shop` may be able to fix that.. you would obviously have to thoroughly clean the top piece though

thank you for the ideas.
The base is in many many pieces. reconnecting is more than likely not an option.

Do you everthink about getting a vaporizer? It was hard for me to give up my bong, but but once you vape you would never want to go back to smoking. You don't get all of the" tars" when you vape.
