I wouldnt blame everything on the temperature, as the hottest times during Earth have been known to be during the most productive times. No one says anything about bees, or the glue that holds this world together, they just see the outcome and point

if you actually look at the life of a solar system, i.e. the life of a star over time the sun expands and gets hotter until it dies. its not global warming. its solar warming! nothing you can do about that, so use all the gas you like cause its not gonna make a big enough difference to stop the way of life. Oh and we obviously wont be around for the bad stuff, ya know....the whole burnt to ashes like the weed we smoke deal...

but then again this is just another trait of human nature. we attack the tentacles, not the heart of the beast. In foresight its hard to see the light when you charge into the dark, but in hindsight you always see what could have been done more effectively.

Do you know where those are. It's where I lived until I was 12, and I have hunkered down in the face of more than a few storms.

I hope you are prepared
Good luck

The instant that our sun starts to expand it will cause radio and some electrical blackout because of the increased solar wind activity. Our magnetic poles will shift, and we would pretty much die a horrible death before we knew what was happening. Also, as a sun expands, the energy it puts out diminishes at a proportional rate to the energy used for star growth. as an object gets bigger it's gravitational pull increases, so we'd go to the sun, not it come to us. Increasing solar flares and sunspots are the first signs that a star is shrinking, because it is putting out more energy, not less. Our sun is a cold fusion reactor, meaning for it to continue to burn an exact balance must be maintained. only a buildup of helium can cause a red giant to emerge through unconventional terms. our sun is becoming a white dwarf, because it does not have the solar mass to become a red giant or supernova, which is the only reason a sun expands.

so my point is, the smaller/brighter a star the hotter it burns.

sorry for the thread hijack, sentravapor, pm me if you have a reply.

stellar evolution - as much as like science I have to admit an informed opinion is way out of my league - but I think we have more pressing problems like poverty, injustice, economic desperity, and right now the people that are in the path of the oncomming storm....my prayers are with them.

Kieahtoka, you are right, and went into greater detail than i did as well. but also as the sun expands and gets closer would it not at least seem hotter considering the relative distance from its outer surface?
