MTV makes all Rappers look like good people

i just saw a interview with the rapper TI he was arrested a few months ago with 2 ak47 in his car and interviewer was making excuses for him having illegal guns, ti was telling a story about one of his friends getting killed in a drive by well he was in the car and saying how he felt that could have been him and he was just trying to be better prepared for the next time someone trys something .............. this is an outrage there are millions of kids across the world watching this channel and they are basically saying that if you feel you are in danger it is ok to drive around with aks for your personal safety i am a fan of hip-hop and ti, but that 2 minute interview really pissed me off
what next put the cops on trial for stopping him if he was worried he should do what most other rappers do and have his car made to be bullet-proof or get better body guards or stop acting like a gang banger this fuc_king guy is a millionaire he has all the world security resources at his finger tips and he chooses this dangerous life and the idiots at mtv are letting him explain why his criminal actions were ok at the time

anyways that really grinds my gears as Peter Griffin would say

So are you saying due to TI's mishaps rappers are bad people. I dont see the relation between TI getting in trouble and rappers being categorized as bad people.

I guess the media is trying to portray football players as good people, they f*ck up just as much as rappers.

I think it should have read..MTV tries to make TI look like a good person.

I dont agree with judging all rappers by the actions of one. If you like I can furnish info stating the good things that rappers do.

I agree with what you say about TI having guns but I'm sure you know the saying..you can take the boy out the hood, but you cant take the hood out the boy.

Rap, hip-hop, or whatever this stuff is called, has gotten a bad rap. (wow, unintended pun). Most of what I have heard of rappers, is negative. But then, most of what I have heard, as far as "lyrics" in rap, is negative. I have no sympathy for any rich sob, who puts himself in such situations.

As a side note: Didn't there used to be a rule, that to be considered music, a recording had to have a recognizable melody along with a rhythm? It still bugs me, when I hear a pop/rock song that has a 15 or 20 second break in the lyric, and they just have the rhythm section playing, without any lead instrument. What a waste of time in a song.

Well, dude, I would have to disagree with ya on that one.
Illegal guns are not a good thing. If you need to protect yourself in an extreme way, then it is best to get a gun inside the law, trust me. I had to surrender a nice little 380 because of that, and pay a hefty fine. Lesson learned, the hard way.

exactly, With us there is no victim, with TI he could've had one too many rails and gone on a little spree. I'll agree some rappers are ok, but the one's who have their songs full of lyrics about gangsta's, driveby's and hookers, then they might as well be charged with the crimes they sing about.

AK's are a modern urban warfare weapon, just like the side-shot, it lets people shoot around corners via a small very accurate LCD screen. This gun is made to take people out before they see you, or can shoot you. Same with an AK47, it's a killer not a defender.
