This morning started off as usual, a cup of coffee, medicine and a review of the days headlines. One item I found of interest is
Landmarks of Rock 'n' roll The article is four pages indepth and both begins and ends with honoring Robert Johnson The Crossroads | Clarksdale, Miss.
The intersection of Highways 49 and 61, in the center of Clarksdale, Mississippi, might be the most renowned crossroads in all of America: Here, according to ancient Delta lore, is where the blues guitarist and singer Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for musical virtuosity. Johnson was a virtuoso -- and arguably the most influential popular musician of all time -- but the facts of this Faustian bargain are still dubious, at best. Regardless, the city of Clarksdale has erected a pair of interlocking electric guitars -- painted blue, of course -- to commemorate the legend, and rock musicians and fans of all stripes still consider the Crossroads the holiest of music sites.

I thought it might be interesting to explore further, beyond the tiny tidbits offered in this original article. I conducted a search and would like to present what I found for your review and enjoyment. After all, how best to spend a few quite moments than remembering where it all began.
