I posted this maybe 2 yrs ago as "the stonedest jam ever". To speak of hamonica, Oskar Lee must be acknowledged. I think him to be the instements greatest evolutionist. Lee Oskar (the white dude with the fro, & porn mustashe)- born March 24, 1948 in Copenhagen, Denmark is a Danish harmonica player, notable for his contributions to the sound of the rock/funk fusion group WAR which he formed with Eric Burdon, also for his solo work, and as a harmonica manufacturer. Burdon agreed to the novel idea of pairing up Oskar's harmonica with Charles Miller's saxophone to form a horn section. This team-up set WAR apart from the start, giving Oskar room to display the full spectrum of his improvisational prowess. Oskar's harmonica magic was always a vital element in WAR's music and performances. Oskar continued with WAR for 24 years non-stop. At the end of 1992 he made the decision to end his association with that group in order to have the time to pursue his solo career.
In 1983 Oskar formed a company to manufacture high-quality harmonicas. His company, Lee Oskar Harmonica, sells harmonicas suited to many different styles of music, including blues, folk, rock, R&B and country. Oskar's harmonica company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008.

James Cotton; born July 1, 1935, Tunica, Mississippi (the Delta) is an American blues harmonica player, singer, and songwriter
Slow Blues
The Creeper
Cotton began his professional career playing the blues harp in Howling Wolf's band in the early 1950s. He made his first recordings as a solo artist for the Sun Records label in Memphis, Tennessee in 1953. Cotton began to work with the Muddy Waters Band around 1955. He performed songs such as "Got My Mojo Working" and "She's Nineteen Years Old", although he did not appear on the original recordings; long-time Muddy Waters harmonica player Little Walter was utilized on most of Muddy's recording sessions in the 1950s. Cotton's first recording session with Waters took place in June 1957, and he would alternate with Little Walter on Muddy's recording sessions until the end of the decade, and thereafter until he left to form his own band. In 1965 he formed the Jimmy Cotton Blues Quartet

James Cotton, Sonny Terry, James Montgomery, Kim Wilson (of the Thunderbirds), and Magic Dick ( with J.Geils) and Mickey Raphael ( with Willie Nelson) are a few of my most favorite blues harp players.
