It's been so cold, and white but, today I went for a nice Spring Day walk near my home.
I took along my camera and took some pictures.
I thought I would share them with you. Spring Day Walk 04-15-09 slideshow |

Peace | Hi Jangle, yes it is tranquil and really helps my recovery.
I am so very thankful to have been given this opportunity to move here.
If all goes well, my best friend is going to cast off the Big City and move here too. He's working on a career move so, it's delicate timing.
He has an awesome job right now as a Master Baker with the Panera Bread Co. but, he's hoping to get a job running a Big restaurant in town.
If that works out we will most likely live here the rest of our lives.
I met my friend in the 7th grade when I moved out of Detroit to Mt Clemens.
My dog sure loves living up here too. She loves running the shoreline, splashing in the surf. Now I just need to teach her how to go fishing in a boat. I took her fishing when she was a pup and made the mistake of using a bobber. She thought it was a ball and kept swimming out to get it ;>}
Well anyways, if any of my friends here on GP ever find themselves in this neck of the woods, drop me a line.

I've started some plants indoors and, a few are vines that flower.
They began getting so long I decided to give them some sticks which to grow on. I went outside to a Lilac Bush and cut some long stems off for this purpose. I cut all the side branches off, making them smooth and stuck them in the soil, then wrapped the vines around them.
The sticks have begun sprouting leaves ! ;>}

Richard, I have to say I am jealous. Those pictures are awesome. Some of them remind me of a small town I lived in Michigan. I believe it was Northport, which is right outside of Travese City. Beautiful land and lakes there. Now that Im older, I kind of wish my family had chose to tuff things out instead of moving out of state. I miss the water, the peace and quiet, and most of all the friendly people. So thanx again...
