That is very kewl! I have done filet crochet before. Did a ship and my astro sign.
I have done a lot. I am a fabric designer as well. went to college for it. But haven't done that for a bit. I have an industrial sewing machine, I weave, sew, silk screen, paint on fabric etc. but I just don't have the time now. Just toooooooo damn busy! My poor family asks me to fix stuff for them and when I finally get to it, it is either out of style or doesn't fit anymore! LOL!
Seems I can't spell today either! LOL!

Oh Jelly that is lovely,, there is a lot of precious work into that,, I too crochet so I know.. I love making baby blankets and afghans. I do things like scarfs and doilys, you name it I have probably tried it,,, You know what I really do like doing, it's something you don't hear much about anymore or see the supplies in the shops anymore is, OMG I am sitting here typing and while doing that I have forgotten what it is called.. stoned,,,, Well anyways the craft supply is a spool of rope like, you can make things like hangers for plants,,, I got it, Macroma is what I'm thinking of.. But yes Jelly you really are very creative

Siriguejo, that's hilarious! Along that line, I once saw a little hand-scrawled sign on the laundromat bulletin board: "For Sale-- Crotched Shawl." I'd like to see one of those! hahaha.
I hear ya, Jangel-- Sewing is fun... mending is no fun!

Hey, thanks, all! It's not hard, just a little time-consuming...
something to do with my hands while I watch tv, rather than snack.

LOL that is really nice Jelly!! My Grandma, bless her, taught me how to crochet when I was just a little girl. Ahhh fond memories! I caught on quick but haven't done much of it for years now. However, I did find like 50ft of hemp string in the thriffy and I thought it would be cool to make something with. Now I am inspired again, thanks!!

I did make a pattern for a big MJ leaf in patchwork triangles and squares. I thought it would be cool out of hemp fabric. Alas, it's just one of my many projects on the "Someday" list!
