the waterfall goes flowing backwards
the needle still goes rolling on
our phoenix will soon rise from ashes
as our heart beats, beat as one

and in this time of crucial moments
we act upon our only solace
for if we break, give in, or hinder
our human goals be torn asunder

we act for peace, for peace isn't lost
they're peace for a profit, and human cost
we swallow pride, not to stop this hastily
they take your freedoms for your safety

with all that has happen as of yet
i sit and wonder what is next
us or them? is that the question?
will punishment teach them their lesson?

will human kind ever know why
the phoenix of hate will never die
only to be reborn again
sometimes i think this will not end...
