Pain management - Rant
how would you like to sit and wait for the pain management doctor for 3 -4 hours EVERY month for them to see you for three minutes and write you a prescription for the very last medicine that they can legally write for you and you won' t violently puke up, or at least not every time, plus it barely works, just takes the edge off the pain and takes 1 to 2 hours to work, lasts for about 1 -2 hours, and yet you have to wait for 6 hours before taking the next dose.
I don't want to do that, It causes pain, stress, anxiety, wasting all my time, sitting in the doctors office chairs having full body spasms being irritated to know end, in pain because you have to sit there so long, and to top it off no fresh air in a stuffy room with tons of other humans stinking and sweating, and no air condition. the windows and doors are bullet proof and darkened so no one can see inside. you get surprised piss tested and pill counts being degraded worse than a three year old, just as if you where on parole for committing some horrid, hideous, violent crime,
sounds like a crack house/prison combination.
well thats what it's like to be in pain management, than you never see the same doctor or nurse, you sit and pray for the nice ones, not the ones that treat you like **** because they enjoy making you feel small because by no fault of your own you ended up with chronic pain for life, and after being degraded by the pissy ones you get to go back out to the waiting room with tears in your eyes after being forced to listen to their BS just so you can get medicine that is literally destroying your body one organ at a time,
You have to take those pharmaceuticals because so you can shower and brush your teeth and get to the store, and if you are lucky, you may be able to help your family members or another disabled that needs help so that you are contributing to society,
you are super lucky if you can keep a job, but I've seen where the best case senario is a very painfull 4 months max before your mind & body falls apart (mind because you are still in untreated pain, and untreated pain makes you insane plus you have every one yelling at you and putting you down both at work and at home because you are not able to do the work that needs done), and you get threatened getting fired constantly because of all the mistakes you make and because you can't get around very well and you work too slow, and your co workers resent you because you can't carry your load, and they isolate and tease you to no end, you can' tdefend yourself from that perverted janitor that comes in the bathroom everytime you go in there and there isn't anyone else with you, and trys to corner you in the dark halls, and the other boys join it and the company doesn't protect you because your work work load is of no value to them, and after all of that, end up bedridden again for the rest of the year or more.
and thats not all. then you get to wait another 1/2 to 1 hour in another waiting room to finally have your prescriptions handed to you so you can leave. The next pain management office is 60+ miles away.
I would rather just have the right to use cannabis a safer more effective medicine that obviously would be healthier and cleaner, mentally and physically, than the **** I have to go through now.
